@DaveScarangella I was a junior in college that summer, working at the Meadowlands as an usher. After the N.Y. Cosmos beat "somebody," we drove out the back lot, through a broken fence, into the drive-in movie lot. We missed a lot of the experience listening through those "tinny" speaker boxes.

Briar Woods made the trip down I-95 count, beating a tough Riverbend squad 32-15. The Falcons claimed the Region 5 crown for the first time since 2013 and will host L.C. Bird in next week's state semifinals.

Briar Woods won the Potomac District Championship last night with a 27-13 win over a tough Independence squad. The Falcons earn a bye in the first round of the playoffs and a home game in the second round on 11/22.
