The main issue with a full ladder reset is that most people have 9 to 5 jobs, which means they might only be able to play two or three games during the week. In that case, they probably don’t want to start completely from zero again.
We’ve actually seen this before, by the way. There was a three-split rank reset, and most players complained for exactly this reason. It created the same problem where people felt like their progress was constantly being wiped.
That’s also why Riot removed it in the first place.

@darkninjapanda1 @drewlevin If you are truly a master player, you should be able to climb it back regardless of how boosted your teammates are. If you are not capable of doing that, maybe u are just a master peaker and not an actual master player
