@JasonAvedesian A deficit I see often on ACL reconstructed people who didnt do rehab with our people is lack of control and endurance of front step down while staying up on toe. That fits with this concept.
I prefer to work with people who love to compete. Motivation is to compete and do the best they can do. If they win they are happy. If they dont they enjoyed competing and they have an internal competition to become better.
2. People who hate to lose also tend to do everything not to lose including breaking the rules. Ive also seen them avoid competition in areas they are not good at because they know they will lose and dont want to compete.
@AlexAuerbachPhD From my experience I enjoy to working with people who love to win.

I agree. But Ive seen winning only focus coaches be very successful at college setting. one reason is high turnover. doesnt always give time to develop or even build relationship Athlete endures. Is now worse with transfer portal.
A coaches job is to develop people
That's the secret to the great coaches
Their job isn't winning. That's an effect
Why? Obsessive focus on the outcome shifts your motivation & perspective. You stop seeing athletes as people & you treat them accordingly. They stop developing..
As we begin a new year, keep in mind that no amount of whey protein, creatine, multivitamins, compression tights, ice bathing, or acupressure will provide anywhere near the benefit of healthy eating and regular exercise.
Keep it simple in 2024! 🎉
As a leader i believed “insight” helped for many individuals to understand why something is important to do but developing onboarding, procedures and checklist gave people processes to make sure things get done correctly.
Insight doesn't lead to new behavior.
People need specific instructions of what to do or try to help them bridge the gap between knowledge and application.
When you are doing rehab for any injury this is should be the focus. You dont rehab your knee. You rehab your brain so the knee can function with other joints to do activity that your brain predict from input from your vision. All rehab is brain rehab.
