@drvolts If you have a respiratory infection it is probably not Coronavirus or flu. Rhino virus and RSV are the most likely right now, but, as always, there is a lot of stuff going around.
@SpencerJCox Thank you sharing this. While I often disagree with you on policy, I appreciate your approach and the way you represent Utah. As you and Senator Balint showed, you can disagree with someone and still be a good neighbor. Who is my neighbor? Everyone.
@drvolts I think you have to give VP Pence a lot of credit for not caving to the pressure to not certify and Pelosi and McConnell for getting right back to work on it. The made peaceful transfer possible.
@JamesSurowiecki I think of each encounter you have with an infected person as an independent event with a probability of getting an infection. The 90% efficacy of the trial could be (say) 10 viral encounters with a 1% chance of infection each.
@mattyglesias 2 things: 1st, race doesnโt equal genetic similarity. Two people of the same race may not be more closely related than two people of different races. 2nd, genes & environment interact in complex ways, genetic differences that matter in one environment donโt matter in another.
