Ben Rice with #20. What a great story. The Cohasset native played with the Braintree White Sox of the Cranberry Baseball League during COVID. Also played in the Futures League with the Worcester Bravehearts. I donโt care that he plays for the Yankees. Heโs the man. Terrific story of a local kid doing well. #MassMade
To all the velocity labs out there if you would be so kind to mix in how to hold runners that would be great. Throwing 90+ is great and all but when you are a 1.7+ to the plate controlling the running game becomes problematic.
UNBELIEVABLE!!
@bsubears makes a comeback for the ages, scoring seven runs in the bottom of the ninth to win their fifth-straight #MASCAC Baseball Tournament title.

As a hitting coach, I watched players come back to the dugout after making an out.
They'd look at me and ask, "What'd you see?"
I'd go through the mechanical stuff like back side collapse, front side energy, head came off the ball. Man, it was wearing me out!
Finally, I realized I needed to simplify.
So the next time a player came back asking what I saw, I just asked him: "Did you get a good pitch to hit?"
That usually stopped the conversation. Because if you don't "get a good pitch to hit," it's hard to get a hit.
This works in our lives too.
Whatever task I take on, I ask myself: Am I putting myself in position to succeed?
Did I eliminate distractions? Did I prepare? Did I practice? Am I ready to produce?
In life, your "good pitch to hit" probably isn't the same as mine.
That's the beauty of it all.
I've swung at some bad pitches in my life... so have you.
But one bad swing doesn't always end the at-bat.
Hitting is a lot like life.
It can be simple, but not easy.
0-0 curveballs have the highest run value out of all pitches, when thrown in zone.
Why?
Because it is a FREE strike.
Curveballs are swung at just 23% of the time in 0-0 counts when it is IN ZONE.
All 0-0 curveballs? Only 15% swings.
Knowing this, if you can't land a curveball, it probably isn't a good 0-0 option for you.
Understand what pitches you can land and can't.
Understand what pitches you are trying to get swings on and which ones you are trying to get takes.
Knowing who you are and the purpose behind each pitch is vital to your success.
๐จ NEW: Hillary Clinton WARNS against the rise of Christianity, says white Christian men are causing "such damage" to the United States
"The idea you could turn the clock back and try to recreate a world that never was, dominated by - let's say it! White men of a certain persuasion, certain religion, certain ideology, it's just doing SUCH DAMAGE to what we should be aiming for!"
If you played sports on the southcoast and cape growing up in the 2010โs, Adam had you covered. He showed a genuine kindness and passion for every single athlete. Do your part in showing him the same love and kindness to help put him in the best spot possible.
As a hitting coach, what makes me cringe the most?
A coach having to say something after EVERY swing.
- Let the player think.
- Let the player work through it.
Pick your spots + be well thought out.

No clean spoons available and about to crack open a yogurt. The way I instinctively grabbed a fork instead of washing a spoon with zero hesitation unfortunately says a lot about me.
