@ByPatForde@BryanDFischer@CBB_Central Love Bryan, but would disagree on one point. Think it was Kessler who read the room & said ‘dude, it’s not likely to happen’. TT’s big mistake was in not saying something like ‘no decisions have been made about playing him’ at the top.
@YahooSports@RossDellenger Great lawyering by Big12 attorneys. Boxed Sorsby in. And TT might have been forced to sit him in the face of sanctions. Still sad we had to spend so much time on cut & dried issue.
@PeteThamel@MikeReiss@max_olson I’m not convinced based on his Nov record & stats he’s as good as some make him out to be. And there’s the question of an NFL penalty such as Terrell Pryor.
@ByPatForde Pat, doesn’t this all today serve to ramp up the pressure on Sorsby? He’s still got the 6/22 NFL deadline. Now Kessler will have to convince him he’s still got a slam-dunk case?
@bmarcello@dennisdoddcbs@slmandel Seems to me all this serves to re-ramp up the pressure on Sorsby, since he still faces 6/22 NFL deadline. Kessler will have to convince him he’s got a slam-dunk winnable case.
@TomFornelli Big12 asking FED court to let them enforce their own rules. (In effect, neutralizing state court ruling.) Because of Paxton threat last week. Now Fed courts rarely want to overturn a state court ruling, but here Big12 just asking for their bylaws to be validated.
@TechAthletics Looks to me like Leadership is failing its students by pretending to do one thing in order to get another, all the while NOT doing the right thing in upholding the rule YOU signed off on. No whataboutism here-there’s a moral imperative you are choosing to ignore.
@deanmld88680@RossDellenger@YahooSports Yes. Penalties will be assessed (mho) after the season. Sorsby will drop his suit after season over. Wins forfeited, I’d guess. (This is not a championship team in anyone’s ranking. We don’t know how much better their offense will be, but defense won’t be as good.)
@TechAthletics Don’t see you affirming the validity of the NCAA rule you agreed to! And you can be supportive without playing him. Your interests do not necessarily align with a program of recovery.
