I told myself I'd be done writing this paper by 8. It's currently 8:24 and I'm nowhere near done, drinking wine and eating a loaf of bannana bread with a fork. What is life.
I love my job because I have the ability to get away from the hectic world and hide in the woods whenever I choose. Now the hecticness is within our parks. My coworkers and I can't escape.
I became a National Park Ranger so I could educate the public on our wonderful, natural environment and share my love of outdoor solitude. I now have the president of our country stating that my job/life doesn't matter to him. I just don't understand.
I can say that within the last few days, our president has said I don't mind not getting paid, has said that I want the wall and then stated if I don't its because I'm a drug dealer. I want to do my job. Walls are stupid. Hey, @AOC, just know this Park Ranger is with ya.
National Parks are not only the beautiful and many times sacred lands of this country, but are home to many of us who continue to protect them. As a park ranger, please stop coming to parks during the shutdown. Come back when you can have a better experience. Please.
I think I'm single because when I see someone im attracted to, in order to pump myself up to talk to them I repeat "you gotta risk it for the brisket" over and over again.
I then think about brisket and biscuits instead of said human.
Me in the same day:
AM at the grocery store: $5 for cereal? Outrageous. I'll just not have breakfast.
PM at home: $400 roundtrip airfare to NY? Not too bad *proceeds to book flight*
Ive been following @thepaperkites since 2010 and can I share how speachlees I am that they included an updated version of Arms. That song has always desevered this beauty.
