I've thought about this a lot because I personally think Spec Spidey would have sided with Miles but let's strap in.
As an actor I have to have a reason in mind for why I say anything or I'm
Just saying words. In my mind Miguel came to Peter at the lowest point in his life. The day Captain Stacey died in his arms.
At this point, this 15-16 year old kid has lost his parents, his second father figure (Uncle Ben), and now Captain Stacy who was definitely like a third father figure to Peter. He's in love with his childhood friend Gwen even though he doesn't really know it, so he's been at the Stacy house a lot for many years, and it's strongly hinted in the show that Captain Stacy knows Pete is Spidey and Pete knows this. Pete also blames himself for everything, even if it's not his fault.
So if on that night, one of the worst nights of his life, Miguel, an older Spidey, another father figure comes to him and says "It's not your fault, we all went through this, I lost family..but if you still want to protect who's still here - if you want to protect Aunt May, Gwen, MJ...if you don't want uncle Ben's death to be in vain (TASM 181)..this is how it has to go down " I could see a young impressionable Pete be manipulated by Miguel.
He might not even fully believe it ("We know it's hard but it's the truth") Or maybe it's the symbiote lol ("We know"). But I can see him making this choice in that moment without it totally defining his character. It was a choice in that moment and spectacular Pete can make really boneheaded decisions sometimes.
But yes, I would also love to see that scene explored in the Spider-Verse series however I'm pretty sure my appearance was just a one off Cameo. As a Spidey fan, I do love to think about this stuff. It's why What If was such a great show. As comic fans we're always What Iffing.
Same! They could do some fantastic character moments with Miles and Takuya that could help bridge the gap between Miles, Peter, and Gwen, given how different a journey he's had from other Spider-people. Also, he could serve as a dope counter to Miguel before he's set straight.
Toei Spider-Man is just a meme to most people, but he actually has a legacy. In the Spider-Verse comics, they made it clear that he's one of the most formidable and powerful Spider-Men in the multiverse.
I hope Beyond the Spider-Verse doesn't just treat him like a joke lol
Watch Episode 210 of Luke Cage and see what we did with him. It was a simple fix: If the Fist is a manifestation of Chi, there's no way Danny could ignite it if he wasn't centered and at peace. And bringing that to Luke at a moment that he wasn't, offering a ying and yang moment, worked so well, harkening to Heroes for Hire.

"Who are 'Hydra'...?"
"Nazis, to put it bluntly. 'Shocker'?"
"...Adjacent."
"Then looks to me like we're both on the same side."
