Get your two TV’s ready.
RECAP
- Nearly swept the single picks. Even hit BYU ML at +329!!!!! Huge play there to upset ND in primetime.
- Missed the “Get Back” Parlay bad. Alabama, Texas BOTH lost again. First time in 30+ years AL, UGA, UT all lost on same day.
- Went 13 out of 26 on Player Props. 50% is not good enough. Was hoping for 65-70% minimum. Will focus on giving less and more quality next week. Maybe 20max, 18 preferably.

Game Preview:
VIRGINIA AT SMU
@UVAFootball | @SMUFB
SCORE: SMU 24, VIRGINIA 17
BEST BET: SMU -375
Virginia found a way to rally past Syracuse last week but it came at a cost. WRs Rico Flores Jr. and Kam Courtney are out, safety Corey Costner is out and Brandyn Hillman is doubtful. That is a bad injury combo against Kevin Jennings and this SMU passing game
Jennings has thrown for 1,588 yards and 14 touchdowns, while the Mustangs are converting 52% of their 3rd downs. SMU is also well rested after a bye. Virginia should lean on the run and try to shorten the game but its thin secondary has to hold up against Jennings. I don’t love going above 10 because SMU has been inconsistent against better teams but I’ll take SMU ML

Game Preview:
MISSISSIPPI STATE AT LSU
@HailStateFB | @LSUfootball
SCORE: LSU 34, MISSISSIPPI STATE 14
The late line movement toward LSU makes sense. Mississippi State quarterback Kamario Taylor and leading rusher Fluff Bothwell were both downgraded to doubtful. Taylor has thrown 17 TDs and is the key to the Bulldogs offense so this one changes a ton if(when) he can’t go.
LSU hasn’t been very smooth offensively. Sam Leavitt has 10 TDs against 8 INTs, and they’ve scored on only one opening possession all season. That keeps me on the under but Mississippi State’s injuries give LSU a major advantage. Princewill Umanmielen already has 8 sacks and a backup quarterback walking into Death Valley is going to have a long afternoon. LSU starts slow but breaks it open in the 2nd half

Game Preview:
FLORIDA AT TEXAS
@GatorsFB | @TexasFootball
SCORE: TEXAS 28, FLORIDA 21
BEST BET: FLORIDA +11.5
Both of these teams are due for a bounce back game. Texas has been messy offensively but Florida is expected to give Tramell Jones Jr. his first career start with Aaron Philo dealing with a shoulder injury. Jadan Baugh has also been held to 72 rushing yards on 27 carries over the last two games….
That is a rough setup against a Texas front allowing only 2.8 yards per rush. Colin Simmons has 7.5 sacks over the last two games, and Florida cannot let its young quarterback live in obvious passing situations. The Longhorns protect Arch Manning better, lean on their defense but Florida tends to play better in the Swamp. Give me the Horns, but Florida keeps it close

Game Preview:
OHIO STATE AT INDIANA
@OhioStateFB | @IndianaFootball
SCORE: INDIANA 24, OHIO STATE 21
ML LEAN: INDIANA +130
Indiana stopped being a cute story a long time ago. The defending champs have won 22 straight overall and 19 straight at home. Josh Hoover has thrown 17 touchdowns without an INT, while the Hoosiers are allowing just 11.8 points and 237.8 yards per game
Ohio State is elite on both sides and Jeremiah Smith might be the best player in college football, but its offensive line and running game have not been consistent enough for me to lay points at Indiana. If the Hoosiers can pressure Julian Sayin, stay balanced offensively they can turn this into a 4th quarter game. Might sound crazy to some but give me the Hoosiers outright

Game Preview:
Washington at Purdue
@UW_Football | @BoilerFootball
SCORE: PURDUE 27, WASHINGTON 20
Purdue has finally found an identity. They’ve beaten Illinois and Minnesota in consecutive weeks while allowing only 15 points per game. Fame Ijeboi has run for 260 yards on 40 carries over that stretch, and Purdue piled up 305 rushing yards in last week’s 41-13 win. Their 3 losses also came against teams that are a combined 16-1
Washington will start Elijah Brown with Demond Williams out. Brown was good in relief against Iowa going 28/39 for 251 yards and 3 TDs, which is why I don’t love Purdue -3. Still, this is his first start, on the road, with Washington riding a 3 game losing streak. Purdue controls the game on the ground and makes Brown carry the entire Huskies offense

Game Preview:
Memphis at Tulane
@MemphisFB | @GreenWaveFB
SCORE: MEMPHIS 35, TULANE 24
BEST BET: MEMPHIS -6.5
TOTAL: OVER 55.5
Memphis is simply the better team, and this is a bad matchup for Tulane. The Tigers are averaging 516.7 total yards and 247 rushing yards per game, with Jaylin Carter averaging 7.2 yards per carry. Tulane is allowing 218.6 yards on the ground, nearly half of its opponents’ 3rd downs have been converted and have only 6 sacks with 0 INTs through 5 games
Tulane has won 9 straight at home and has enough speed in the backfield to hit a couple explosive plays so I expect them to hang around. That’s also why I lean the over. Memphis just has too many ways to move the ball, give me Charles Huff and the Tigers

Texas St beats Colorado St 66-27
Jim Mora let everyone down last night. Bad spread pick but nearly swept props went 3/4. Don’t know how Beau didn’t get a Touchdown in a 70 point outing for TSU. Chris Dawn didn’t get one either. Instead, TSU had 8 rushing touchdowns. They’re both due next week. We’ll come back to that. Ty Stamey scored the games only receiving td for Texas St.

Thursday Night CFB Game Preview:
Colorado St. at Texas St.
@CSUFootball@TXSTATEFOOTBALL
Both teams come into this matchup 2-3. Last week, Texas St lost a close game to SDSU 31-29 and Colorado St lost 56-26 to Oregon St. You could say both squads are eager to get a victory tonight and get back to .500.
The spread for this game is Texas St -14.5 and the total is set at 70.5. Even though Texas St should handily win this game, my gut reaction is that 14.5 is too many points to cover. I like the underdog angle here with CSU. Their OC quit on the team in the middle of the last game. Mora is going to have the boys fired up and ready to play on primetime tonight. I would not put a full unit on this play CSU +14.5 personally. I think a smarter idea would be to take an alt spread +21.5 and throw it in a 2 leg parlay with another strong team you like. At the end of the day, be careful- Brad Jackson is a bad man and Texas St could blow these guys out the water. Honestly this feels like a good prop mix n match parlay game.

My 24 team playoff thoughts:
We haven’t even given the 12-team playoff time to breathe. Doubling the field this quickly screams tv ratings, not competitive need
With 24 spots elite programs can lose 2 or 3 games without facing any consequences
8-4 teams are gonna make it lol
A team could finish 5th or 6th in its own conference, never win anything, then get hot for 5 games and call itself the national champion
ESPN wins, they get to upgrade from 11 playoff games to 23
Just don’t see how this is a good thing. College football spent decades building a sport where every Saturday mattered and now it’s willing to trade that away for 12 more television windows 😵💫
