My English professor told us his father wanted him to be a lawyer in order for him to be successful. Another student asked him “Do you still feel like you’re successful?” and without hesitation he replied “I feel that I am happy”.. That’s how I want to live my life.
Anxiety/Depression is scary af. You push away everyone that means the most to you and you start to hate the person you are. Youre literally so sad and most of the time dont even have a reason to be. You could have everything you want and you can still feel so unhappy and hopeless
I’ve been in Germany for roughly two weeks and here’s some of the things I really miss from America:
Chick Fil A, Taco Bell, roads that are wide enough for two cars, drinking milk and soda on a somewhat regular basis, AIR CONDITIONING, windows with screens??, @PeculiarWhitney
The impulse to legislate morality and create an intellectually homogenous utopia is a characteristic I’ve seen shared from both the “right” and “left” sides of the political spectrum.
We find comfort in believing that the other side has all the fascist tendencies. Not ours.
