@uncledoomer "My mom brain" stop artificially elevating your role over your husband, you are not his mom, you are his wife.
You aren't being asked to make a decision that will alter the course of your family, he's asking what you want to eat. Fuck. Off.
@HEELAZZEATER@ChandranTheMan ๐ I could see Trick, and honestly, with how long stories take in the 'E they might do it. I still think Brock is going to be good and a boost for Oba but I'm happy to see an alternative.
And competitive is the key, I just think it'll take too long and people will get bored.
@HEELAZZEATER@ChandranTheMan I agree with 1 and 3. I don't think it'll hurt his momentum because people will be rabid to see him put Brock down again. I think 1 is a fair point, but if his first loss happens after months of wins people will get tired of him. Losing to Brock doesn't make him any less imposing
@HEELAZZEATER@ChandranTheMan I don't think they'll squash Brock twice, we're getting real in the weeds which I like but if it's a competitive match, that everyone knows will lead to a third match, Oba doesn't lose a thing. Losing to Brock isn't a black mark on anyone's career.
@HEELAZZEATER@ChandranTheMan Even if he doesn't need to be built more, he shouldn't look weak. There's not a single person on the roster who could come out ahead of him and they both look better. He's either treading water or looking weaker. Brock is the right choice to get him into the top title scene.
@HEELAZZEATER@ChandranTheMan You're right, his gimmick is his walk and being strong. Who could he be in a feud with that would elevate him? And the logic isn't "Just let Brock win for the lulz" it's "Oba needs a deeper character at some point."
@HEELAZZEATER@ChandranTheMan Oba's gimmick has a short shelf life. He can't do the open challenge forever. The only reason he's still over is his entrance and gait.
Brock may not need the win, but Oba needs something more to stay interesting. A loss to Brock provides that opportunity.
@HEELAZZEATER@ChandranTheMan Who do you think would be elevated from beating Oba and how long would it take?
Oba taking a loss from anyone, other than Brock, wouldn't build that person into a star. It would just devalue Oba.
Brock beating Oba sets up a rubber match.
A loss to Brock wouldn't derail anyone.
@AEWPRTeam 100% I've been a WWE fan my entire life and checked out AEW multiple times, even went to a tv taping, and I can confidently say I wouldn't switch if I stopped watching WWE, I'd just stop watching altogether.
@BackupHangman Not every story needs to be The Bloodline levels of drama and nuance. RIP Gingerbread Man. I hope they give you a proper send off tonight.
@MattWalshBlog Raising your voice is much more about the extra gravel in your voice than the volume level. Even tone means you're in control, gravel means you've lost it
