'the life I love is making music with my friends'
thank you Florida! Two great shows...
Been missing these soundchecks... @macmcanally@ScottyEmerick and Eric warming up with a song that's as good today as it was 50 years ago.
Recently, I heard a bona fide #iubb legend go on a local Indy radio show to defend @IndianaMBB’s head coach. He made the point that the NIL era makes it so hard to build teams and that our coach is building it the right way and he is the right guy to have on the sideline. #iubb has not finished better than 30th in the NET in the last 3 years and currently sits at 68th. Our average NET ranking under this regime is 60th.
But that’s not fair to just look at IU so I decided to look at all “new” coaches (in their 4th year or less) to see how their teams are doing in the NET this year (remember, IU is 68th) and I just focused on those that had a better NET ranking right now than our current coach has EVER had at the end of a season (30th). Surely there can’t be that many in the top 30 because it’s so hard to be good right now.

Hmmm. Are all these coaches, MOST at programs that don’t have anywhere near the resources that our Coach has, just…lucky?
And if you are counting, that’s 14 of the top 30 ranked teams in the country according to NET that are coached by guys with the same amount of time at their school or less as our head coach. Four of them in year 1 and three of those have entirely new teams.
Weird.
@elonmusk People believing what other people tell them about someone or something versus people thinking, seeing and experiencing for themselves is probably the legacy of dying legacy media and it’s just sad
@NYRangers@NYP_Brooksie@vzmercogliano@JoeFortunatoBSB I will still never understand the decision to give Trouba the C…. We’ve been told Kreider “didn’t want” it… I’m sure people know but I never will… that was always a mistake to me … unfortunately proven right
