One of the most influential rappers to ever come out of Memphis - it’s with heavy hearts to say today that Gangsta Boo has passed away at the age of 43 (news confirmed by @djpaulkom). May her memory and music live on in those she inspired and influenced.

Rest easy to the human orchestra, the person who taught us to be excited about spring, the person who taught us lessons on “the vapors,” the weekend warrior himself, Biz Markie. A true legend.

DMX had his first five albums go to the top of the Billboard 200.

Two of them were in the same year (“It’s Dark and Hell is Hot,” and “Flesh of my Flesh, Blood of my Blood” in 1998).

May his discography and legacy be respected. Love to those who were touched by his artistry.
