AJA STATEMENT: PENNY WONG MUST APOLOGISE FOR DISGRACEFUL ANTI-JEWISH BLOOD LIBEL
Today, Australian Foreign Minister Penny Wong shared a video of her address at a UN conference in which she spread an extraordinary and false claim about Jews.
Wong claimed: “In the first six months of this year alone, 'settler violence' has driven more than 15,000 children from their homes.”
The claim appears dramatically inconsistent with the UN's own published figures.
AJA President Robert Gregory said:
“It is unclear what Penny Wong based her statement on, but the figure she presented to the world are completely false.
“Her remarks come just days after a Jewish father was murdered by a Palestinian Arab terrorist in the area as he was preparing for the Yom Kippur holiday.
“Wong then boasted about giving away $160 million in Australian taxpayers' money to Palestinian Arabs.
“When Australia's Foreign Minister spreads ugly misinformation about Jews and the Jewish State, it contributes to an environment of antisemitism at home and risks the safety of the Jewish community.
“Penny Wong must explain where this extraordinary figure came from and apologise to the Jewish community for spreading misinformation which damages social cohesion at a time of heightened tensions in Australia.
“She should commit to sourcing accurate information if she wants to represent Australia on the world stage.”
@LeviJon49163050@susinpgh@CalltoActivism This is a rediculous image. Trump pretending to work at Macca's is JUST as absurd as mamdani pretending to do road works
Fadel Ashour is a Gazan psychiatrist who decries the "culture of death," long inculcated by Hamas, which has taken root among all sectors of Palestinian society. In this clip, he asks: How did Gazans, much like Germany in 1933, choose a leadership that went on to destroy their lives? He proceeds to prescribe what he sees as the only remedy: "We must transform ourselves" so we can rebuild, as “we need peace more than Israel does.”
