According to French extreme left wing MEP Rima Hassan, “Hamas has a legitimate action from the point of view of international law". She said that on French media @SudRadio yesterday. Hamas is an Islamic terrorist organisation that is listed as such by the EU. This is something that we all know. It is a reality studied and legally confirmed by the European Union who clearly recognizes Hamas as it is. The fact that a member of the European Parliament acts like this is unfathomable. It is completely unacceptable. It is nothing less than complicity with terrorists.

As Members of European Parliament how can we feel safe to seat in the same hemicycle with people who with such beliefs? It is time that we debate such cases that clearly threaten our democracies and societies. 

Remember: Hamas has killed, kidnapped and raped innocent people on October 7 and long before as we all know. It is a terrorist organization that means hell for Palestinians and Israelis and represents a serious danger to Europe, hence its presence on the EU list of terrorist organizations.

This is why we must wonder who truly threaten our democracies and security. Foreign forces or forces inside Europe itself using our system to destroy it from the inside. The parliament cannot be turned into a weapon for those who support terrorists. It must protect itself and its credibility. And France must find its light again. This kind of politicians bring the country of Voltaire back to dark times.

Zelenskyy: Ukraine will consider the deployment of foreign troops to guarantee security

The Ukrainian president stated that he is open to considering the idea proposed by his French counterpart, Emmanuel Macron, who suggested that some troops from various countries could be stationed on Ukrainian territory.

"If there is a pause while Ukraine is not in NATO, and even if we had an invitation but were still not in NATO, and there is a pause, who will guarantee us any security? We can consider and work on Emmanuel's position," the President of Ukraine wrote.

Farewell Assad, and be gone forever.

This news means less fuel for Hamas and Hezbollah, less power for Iran, shame for Russia and an opportunity for something else. We can indeed rejoice in the fall of Assad, but not in a promising future for Syria, and even less so for women, Christian religious minorities and Kurds. Why?

Because the tyrant is replaced by Islamists djihadists. From one hell to another. If I were a woman in Syria, neither of these options would reassure me.

We must be vigilant. The international community including the EU has a crucial role to play here today and in the coming days for this to not become a win for Isis but a way for a better future for all.
