Just discovered a review in Arabic of my book '#Israel's Long War with #Hezbollah' (@GUPress) on #Lebanon's @AlMayadeenNews by @abirbassam1. Positive reviews from both Israeli sources and now pro-Hezbollah Lebanese sources - hopefully that means I did something right in the book!
I have been very clear and consistent in my reports on Iran’s nuclear programme: while there has been no evidence of Iran building a nuclear bomb, its large stockpile of near-weapons grade enriched uranium and refusal to grant my inspectors full access are cause for serious concern. For these reasons, my previous reports indicate that unless and until Iran assists the @IAEAorg in resolving the outstanding safeguards issues, the Agency will not be in a position to provide assurance that Iran’s nuclear programme is exclusively peaceful.
US Drone Observes Aid Truck Looted by Hamas in Gaza
TAMPA, Fla. – On Oct. 31, the U.S.-led Civil-Military Coordination Center (CMCC) observed suspected Hamas operatives looting an aid truck traveling as part of a humanitarian convoy delivering needed assistance from international partners to Gazans in northern Khan Younis.
The coordination center was alerted through video surveillance from a U.S. MQ-9 aerial drone flying overhead to monitor implementation of the ceasefire between Hamas and Israel.
Operatives attacked the driver and stole the aid and truck after moving the driver to the road’s median. The driver’s current status is unknown.
Over the past week, international partners have delivered more than 600 trucks of commercial goods and aid into Gaza daily. This incident undermines these efforts.
Nearly 40 nations and international organizations represented at the CMCC are working together to help flow humanitarian, logistical and security assistance into Gaza.
The very first time the Red Cross are seeing Israeli hostages kidnapped and held in Gaza is the last day of their two year captivity.
They never had a single visit in 738 days.
My former colleague @Norman_Roule who knows all there is to know about #Iran tonight on @AC360: “I am confident that Iran has suffered a catastrophic/catastrophic blow to its nuclear enrichment program.”
On January 18, an Argentine federal court affirming that prosecutor Alberto Nisman, investigator of the AMIA bombing, was murdered, dispelling the myth that he committed suicide. In his lengthy report, he describes his findings. Here are my key points from the report:
Shame on the Red Cross for being a willing participant in Hamas's despicable theatrics. Parading young Israeli female hostages in front of a mob of militants and local residents who were herded into participating in the spectacle is not only terrible for the women, but it portrays Gazans in a horrendous light that’s entirely harmful and destructive. Hamas doesn’t care if the world sees Gazans as the aggressors or savages as long as it gets to assert its rotten, fascistic narrative, making the terror group the true enemy of the Palestinian people. How immensely shameful and embarrassing that parading young women by a bunch of armed terrorists (who miraculously found their uniforms 15 months later) is considered a legitimate act of "resistance."
The deal should have stipulated that the exchange happens in private and away from large crowds – Hamas should not be allowed to keep doing this, and the Red Cross should immediately halt future exchanges until new arrangements are made. This footage is feeding anti-Palestinian sentiments and inflaming right-wing Israelis’ desire to restart the war after phase 1. Qatari state media [Aljazeera] participating in this charade is predictable, but that a once highly respected NGO like the Red Cross being a willing participant in this spectacle is truly shameful and uncalled for.
🚨After 15 months of war, more than 45 thousand Palestinians killed and destruction of biblical dimensions in Gaza, Hamas leader Khalil al-Haya says in a speech from Qatar that the October 7 attack on Israel "will forever be a source of pride for our people"
🚨He expressed no regret for the destructive consequences and the immense suffering Hamas' decisions have inflicted on the Palestinian people and the region
🚨Moreover, he promised another October 7 and stressed: "Our people will expel the occupation from our lands and from Jerusalem in the earliest time possible"

Israel’s military achievements hollowed out Iran’s axis of resistance. If one had any doubts, look at Syria; Iran has huge investments and can’t save Assad. Neither can Hezbollah or Russia. They are all too weak. That means the region can be steered in a more hopeful direction.
