Dear @LASUOfficial @lasusu_official @LASUstreet ,

I'm a student of LASU, studying Guidance and Counselling. We were asked to choose a teaching subject, which would also be our borrowed course as Education students. I chose English Language, which means I would teach English Language during TP and also borrow English Language-related courses from the English Department.

In 200 Level, second semester, I borrowed a total of three English Language courses, which are ENG 204, ENG 210, and ENG 208, and sat for the exams. Unfortunately, when the results came out, almost 1,000 students who sat for the exams had zeros. It was later said that it was a general issue, which happened to have been caused by the change of curriculum (BMAS to CCMAS)—that is what we were told by the lecturers.

The updated curriculum, which is CCMAS, changed a lot in our academic program, including course codes and titles. The English major HOC said she had already submitted letters countless times, but nothing was done. As for the students who borrowed the courses from another department, there's little we can do because it's not our department.

ENG 214 and ENG 220 weren't reflecting on our portal before, but they are now reflecting with our scores. Mind you, these two courses are the new CCMAS codes. ENG 214 replaced ENG 204, while ENG 220 replaced ENG 210. ENG 208 is yet to be changed.

The problem is the zeros because they are affecting everyone's CGPA. The more reason I am concerned and worried is that we're now in 400 Level, and this may hinder us from graduating. The English Language Department HOC has tried, but it seems nothing is happening.

Please, do something about this so that we would know if our CGPA is on track and what to do if it isn't. If this is resolved, it would relieve us of mental stress, and this won't be a core issue to deal with in 400 Level. I'm pleading, please help us look into this.

Between 2011 to 2014, LASU students and its student body, LASUSU, got into a conflict with the Lagos State Government over the sudden increase in school fee.

The most interesting part of the event was the vibrancy and effectiveness of LASU's student body, LASUSU. In this old clip, we can see the then LASUSU President, Nurudeen Yusuf, on television arguing in support of the students.

The Governor eventually reversed the decision after LASUSU and the students refused to back down.
