Been inactive as heck due to work taking over my life for the past three months, but scheduling has changed so maybe I do have a bit more time off now...
Seeing someone called out in the comments under their video is quite refreshing, especially for an Arknights-centric one. Usually it's all positive vibes and glazing
Nearly 6 and a half years (coming 7 in CN) in Arknights and there is still plenty of knowledge about the game that has a large part of the community is not aware of.
The content creators need to step their game up, myself included.
I always say, knowledge is power.
Zhuang's JP voice actress has previously done Eunectes.
Also nice to see Molly Zhang (Waai Fu in Arknights/Astra Yao in Zenless Zone Zero) her talents for the EN voiceover too!
Chapter 16 went and added forced engagement tactics by making you clear once, then unlocking the Strategic Simulation. One step forward with QoL, two steps backwards into multiple clears.
Heavily dislike the current state of Arknights. Yes, a lot of QoL and things going on, but Adverse Environment/Combat was supposed to create a platform for engaging difficulty, but saving time on clearing multiple times.
I just discovered that one of my emotes was pilfered by a big Arknights Discord server and I had never been asked permission for it to be used on their server.
I have no issue with letting others use this commissioned emote, but at least INFORM ME?!
Arknights suffers less for it because there is more room for creativity, yet in a more limited medium.
Endfield's side of the issue is more BECAUSE the possibilities aren't fully explored. The problem with advancement is the burden of expectation
The overall systems in Endfield's gameplay seem to still be experimental and trying to find its place, and the gameplay loop suffers because players have to find their own reasons keep themselves occupied.
This has happened even to Arknights at some point.
The problem here is that the gacha is abysmal and greedy as a whole.
I had an idea and hope years ago that Endfield could have been that 3D JRPG version of Arknights but for console/PC. That has happened, except with the gacha aspect added.
Endfield is already into its third month of service, and it has proven to be far from the perfect game. Players are within right to expect and want more, given the success of Arknights, but the issue is that this game has some good foundations, but gacha is appended to it
