If you ask a Team, "How often do you expect to just continue this Sprint's work next Sprint because nothing is finished?" and they laugh, saying "ALL THE TIME!", it might be time for some #ShockTherapy.
#Agile#Scrum#ToughLove
Having "done Agile" a certain way at a previous company is not a compelling argument when the practice directly contradicts the Agile Manifesto Values & Principles, the applied framework, or any of the Seven Principles of LEAN. #YoureDoingItWrong#Scrum#Agile
If you can go to sleep at night then continue working the next day...
If you can take the weekend off...
Then, yes, even YOUR work can be broken down to fit into a Sprint.
Too many hare-brained notions are leading too much of the #Agile and #Scrum community away. If you feel the picture is incomplete, don't wander off looking for something new. Figure out what you're missing in what's already proven.
PO: "I, as a rear seat passenger, need better air conditioning in the rear of the van so that I don't pass out and die on long trips."
Sprint 1 Demo: Success!
Anyone who has attended my Scrum training has heard of this, and probably remembers the videos of Hanoi. "I like the old way" doesn't mean it was better, safer, faster, or more productive! Same is true in an Agile transformation. https://t.co/pnW28hp1Ak via @voxdotcom
Your Team isn't passionate about your product? Simple solution: Stop paying them, then open your doors to all comers. The passionate will show up for free.
Didn't work? Well... then hire. But embrace your mutual economic decision to settle for one another. YOU bring the passion.
