The windmills aren't working.
Massachusetts is ground zero. BOEM and European wind turbine manufacturers want to turn the waters around Cape Cod and the Islands, and northern MA, into the North Sea. New England has the highest electricity rates in the country, second only to Hawaii.

The only people who will “learn a lesson” are the ones who stay home in the midterms. Senate GOP leadership is happy to lose. They want to lose. House is somewhat better and wants to win but many don’t care. Go vote!
Japan plans to support the construction of pipelines bypassing the Strait of Hormuz.
(The biggest step would be when — rather than if — Japan diversifies away from Middle East oil, which pre-war was >90% of its imports. Winner: US shale and Latam oil)

🇨🇳🇳🇵‼️🚨 CRAZY FOOTAGE: FLOOD HITS TIBET-NEPAL
A flash flood hit Tibet in China and Nepal, with blocks swept away in seconds. Unbelievable.
Nepali media reports 32 policemen and 25 pilgrims missing so far.
Pray for the people… Unbelievable. Casualties will grow.
🇪🇸‼️🚨 SPANIARDS LEFT ALONE BY THE GOVERNMENT – FOUGHT BACK!
Today residents of Ceuta organized and stormed the beach, turned into a makeshift leaf-hut village.
Spaniards chased away the immigrants and burned the huts and their belongings.
They celebrated with Spanish flags and cursed out the government as well
🚨 HOLY CRAP! Treasury Sec. Scott Bessent is reportedly gearing up to REVOKE the tax-exempt status of nonprofits including George Soros' Open Society Foundation, CAIR (Council on American-Islamic Relations) and the SPLC — NYP
The operation might result in CIVIL PENALTIES too
Make it happen, Secretary Bessent! 🔥
The move could target MULTIPLE leftist nonprofits because they ABUSE their tax-exempt status.
This is MASSIVELY overdue!
This was made possible by a Trump executive order from last year. Bessent recently said:
"Treasury is expanding its efforts to identify organizations that abuse charitable and nonprofit structures as vehicles for illicit finance."
"We are examining where tax exempt status has been exploited, where charitable entities have become financial conduits for foreign influence activity and how those entrusted with stewardship of these organizations have instead enabled violence, where the evidence leads we will not hesitate to follow and of course we will hold these organizations, officers, directors, accountable and just as financial institution must know their clients they must know their grantees."
"That work is well underway."

I realized that the opening language by Buffet in One Particular Harbor is such gringo exoticism trying to speak Spanish and god knows what else. Maybe Tahitian or something.
Komo vye me-a ameegos? Toto bee-en?
Like a college kid with bad language skills after a Peace Corp year in Panama who STILL speaks Spanish like shit.
Look how fast we can build domestic capacity when government policy actually wants it to happen. With what’s coming online here in Louisiana, we can replace about half of U.S. imports. Canadian fertilizer? Who needs it.
Right incentives. Fewer regulatory roadblocks. Capital put to work. This is what rebuilding American productive capacity looks like.
Another Davos acolyte. Freeland and Carney using same language: sovereignty. To whit, their main and repeated explanation of sovereignty lost was the French language debacle, which Trump and Lutnick said is not a big deal and they don't want to take that away from Canada, at all. Not an issue. Actually sounds more like a misunderstanding. So what is the sovereignty issue? Another is that they can't import steel slabs from China, turn it into a good, and sell it into the U.S.? I think we have the same deal with the UK. No one there complained about it. Mexico has tariffs on China steel.
Aging globalists ready for a fight against the man that's taken a sledge hammer to the old Western liberal globalist worldview. Put a fork in it.
“This trade war is going to hurt Canada, but Canadians are prepared to take that pain because our sovereignty is worth it,” says Fmr. Deputy Prime Minister of Canada @cafreeland of relations with the U.S. https://t.co/Z7qT0pAc4Y
yes, unless I pay for gas, food with credit cards to pay for it later (I try to pay cash, on debit card), then after automatic withdrawals for investments, mortgage, credit cards, a 10k PLUS loan, fucking car insurance, whole life insurance premiums, cell phone, electricity (no cable!)...my pay is 90% gone one week after being paid. Its fun! And I make more than I ever have in my life.
The old Western global liberal order that took shape post WWII moves further in the rearview mirror every day. China killed it. Parts of it will still survive, of course. But 80s-90s style Western globalism is dead. RIP. Regionalization. Reshoring. Potential bifurcation of key industries of West (US) or Asia (China) is highly plausible in what some refer to as a Cold War 2 scenario. Thats what's happening. Only Canada and Europe keep fighting in with FTAs and complete misreads of the new reality in DC, where the plebs here have had it with globalization. It's over.
Canada will match the new U.S. tariffs dollar for dollar.
In addition, we are introducing $7.5 billion in new and enhanced measures to support Canadian workers and businesses. That builds on the nearly $25 billion in supports introduced since the implementation of the U.S. unjustified tariffs.
Defending Canadian jobs, industries, and families.
