To whit, their main and repeated explanation of sovereignty lost was the French language debacle, which Trump and Lutnick said is not a big deal and they don't want to take that away from Canada, at all. Not an issue. Actually sounds more like a misunderstanding. So what is the sovereignty issue? Another is that they can't import steel slabs from China, turn it into a good, and sell it into the U.S.? I think we have the same deal with the UK. No one there complained about it. Mexico has tariffs on China steel.

yes, unless I pay for gas, food with credit cards to pay for it later (I try to pay cash, on debit card), then after automatic withdrawals for investments, mortgage, credit cards, a 10k PLUS loan, fucking car insurance, whole life insurance premiums, cell phone, electricity (no cable!)...my pay is 90% gone one week after being paid. The old Western global liberal order that took shape post WWII moves further in the rearview mirror every day. China killed it. Parts of it will still survive, of course. But 80s-90s style Western globalism is dead. RIP. Regionalization. Reshoring. Potential bifurcation of key industries of West (US) or Asia (China) is highly plausible in what some refer to as a Cold War 2 scenario. Thats what's happening. Only Canada and Europe keep fighting in with FTAs and complete misreads of the new reality in DC, where the plebs here have had it with globalization. It's over.
