Please support our Christmas Satellite Tag Appeal. Indy Kiemel Greene explains why these tags are so vital to protect our precious Hen Harriers

This Christmas, we're raising funds to protect one of Britain's most persecuted birds of prey - the Hen Harrier. Every donation goes directly to buy satellite tags. For a future where Hen Harriers can thrive without persecution, please support our appeal.

It’s sickening to the core. It’s sad that it’s taken the loss of 3 high profile birds to finally get some attention in the media. Maybe from this, the general public will start to understand that it’s not something new and that it’s been going on for decades. #ProjectCamTag
I can’t begin to tell you how upsetting and disheartening it is to recover a tag that we had fitted to a young White-tailed Eagle just a few months previously, and which had clearly been cut off the bird. This happened twice this autumn and a third bird is also missing.
🚨 Exciting news! Hen Harrier Action’s 2024 Year in Review is here! 🦅✨
Celebrate our milestones & collective efforts in protecting Hen Harriers & their habitats. 💪
Thank you for your support—let’s soar higher in 2025! 🚀

Our GPS-tagged Northern Lapwings continue to disperse further south and west. "Rukho2", which breeds up north in Oulu, Finland, just flew across the north sea, crossing right through London city centre, at 2.2 km high in altitude! I wonder if it managed to do some sightseeing :)
How brilliant is this! We need to bring back our #orchards across Wales and UK. We currently import 70% of our apples and have lost so many orchards. More orchards is good news for wildlife, reduces food miles, good for climate and great for communities #food#foodlover@HughFW

Ringing in a Cambridgeshire orchard in January this year and caught this already ringed adult female Sparrowhawk, aged at least 3 years old, got data back and it was initially ringed on 23/5/21 at Two Teee Island, Leigh on Sea, Essex - 93km away, wasn't expecting that!
