You all love a good false equivalency. Governor Shapiro wasn’t on GameDay to lobby for legislation. He was on GameDay because the show hadn’t been to Pittsburgh in 30 years and he was there to talk about the city and football.

Secondly: I don’t have an issue with Ted Cruz being on GameDay. I have an issue with the brazen way the network’s signature college football show is lobbying for a bill without at all addressing how this bill completely undermines college players. If you’re going to have an honest conversation about the bill, then an opposing side should be invited to the conversation.

This bill has been developed with no real input from CURRENT players. The NCAA and its power brokers have spent hundreds of thousands of dollars lobbying Congress because they are trying to avoid the consequences of decades of greed and exploitation.

The NCAA is selling the narrative they need help because college football is in chaos. They don’t need help. They need to negotiate.
