@powerisofup2026 Its why i love Nikita's version of the story the most, even though he can be overly ambitious at times, his story actually keeps things grounded while also sorta being its own thing
@powerisofup2026 Not all of these newer things introduced are necessarily bad, like the guest, mayak, the storms and golden apple arent necessarily bad ideas by themselves, but literally with every game and books we see completely different iterations of them
@powerisofup2026 Oh no i really agree with that, which is why my take on hello neighbor atleast would focus more on having small standalone stories that take place in raven brooks rather than the shithole that the actual lore is lol
@powerisofup2026 The third game takes place after a giant storm wrecked the town completely, alot of people died in it while others evacuated.
The town still has residents nowadays, but its basically a lawless land, Golden Apple corp. Uses their god, the guest, as a company mascot
@powerisofup2026 I think the third game would focus more on the Golden Apple corporation and them exploiting the town and its culture and tradition after it was abandoned, a commentary on corporate greed basically
@powerisofup2026 The guest festival from HN3 would be important here aswell as the mayak, i think the mayak would sorta be the forest dweller's nest and perhaps place of worship, maybe he worships the storms, as a contrast to the guest who protects people from them?
@powerisofup2026 Tbf i was moreso thinking of like, this game and the first being completely unrelated besides cameos (like the neighbor appearing in a newspaper)
I imagine itd take place in the outskirts of raven brooks in more rural areas similar to the Hello Guest concept arts
@powerisofup2026 He knows children around town worship the guest, and exploits that by luring them in, pretending to be their god.
I think itd be interesting if part of it is also driven by religious psychosis, maybe the forest dweller also worships the guest and believes to be a prophet or smth
@powerisofup2026 Its a lie to save his failing journalism career, but in the end, it turns out he wasnt far from the truth at all!
The "forest dweller" is the person responsible for the kidnappings, posing as "the guest", who in the town's folklore is a pagan god that protects people from storms
