Oh boy this one cut deep.... ππ§β€οΈ
"Iβm scared to attach to him or her because I donβt want my heart to get broken again. I sometimes catch myself creating a suit of armor around my heart as a way of protecting me from the pain that comes from loving and losing."
15 years together, 5 married, 3 as parents. Lived together in 4 countries, moved 5 times. Had 1 son during Covid-19, then 1 miscarriage. Now facing a pregnancy after loss. We stand strong and I love you more than ever. Thank you, love of my life β€
@PMccoubrie Sometimes I do miss PET/CT. I used to do it all the time @OUHospitals, and it really made me happy when we could see a response like that. Once a 23y had a surprise crew waiting outside, none knew the results but it was just beautiful to see the interaction. Made me tear up! π
Our animation shows how one couple found support after a missed miscarriage, when they were trying to cope with the physical loss as well as the loss of their hopes for the future.
Pregnancy loss is different for everyone who experiences it. However you feel, you are not alone.
This was me in 2018. Not 1 year later I was starting my job at the NBT. When I left OUH, my now husband gave me a mug with the words "Remember why you started". The mug is broken, but I haven't changed my desktop background since @NorthBristolNHS.
This little fella decided to follow me home and take a little rest on my TV stand. For a moment there I don't know who was scared slash surprised the most. I won't tell you about the fun I had trying to convince him to go back to our garden......... π¦πͺΆ Gotta love Nature β€οΈ
And finally, what a pleasure to seat with our Chair, Michele Romaine, who has kindly offered words of widsom (and a gin and tonic!)! The first photographer was fired on the spot, we will bury those π€ Thank Michele, it was lovely to meet you in person! #NBTStaffAwards
