So in the spirit of rare pepes and as an homage to Looney's first rare pepe, he tested a larger image as a subasset of UNPRUNABLE called UNPRUNABLE.PEPEPARTY which was issued at block 777,592.

This first test of storing base64 data was the issuance of an asset called UNPRUNABLE and the data being a very rare zombie crypto punk.

This was created at block 777,056 which was 2,596 blocks prior to Stamp #0. But I needed to go bigger...

As it turns out, Counterwallet did not have a limit and instead of defaulting to P2SH encoding (storing data in the scriptsig) it defaulted to bare multisig encoding (storing data in legacy multisig outputs which Stamps uses today). Imagine the surprise!

So he created a telegram group (https://t.co/Rcd5W0SMHH) and invited a handful of developers to help him with his vision.

As a long-time Counterparty developer Looney's thoughts immediately went to leveraging existing Counterparty P2SH encoding...

A brief history of Bitcoin Stamps...

In February 2023 @mikeinspace had the idea to create on-chain art called Stamps that weren't prunable by storing it within the tx rather than in the witness (inscriptions).

This output-based approach later proved resilient, BIP-110 doesn’t stop Stamps.

He had the idea and the name but was missing the implementation...

So how do we make it fully automatic without ever taking custody of the asset? 🔁

It gets sent to a trusted execution enclave (TEE), never a company wallet.

The enclave is a sealed, public Lit/ Chipotle program with fixed code: no person or platform ever holds the key, so even a fully compromised server cannot move your asset anywhere it shouldn't go.
