One of the worst things about social media is it's made some people think that literally everything that happens in their life should be 'content' for public consumption.
Instead of living life, they're always thinking about clicks, views, and validation from strangers.
@Rachiness1 Agreed! Obviously Covid made things far more complex, but I've much preferred having almost an entire album's worth of new material to sink my teeth into.
@Rachiness1 to become more extreme. It's why I'm now more hesitant to jump to conclusions or assume I understand the situation because a lot of the biggest online feuds started from nothing much at all.
Maybe it's a cultural difference thing, or maybe I'm missing some important information here that would change my perspective, but I can't work out why a huge percentage of people seem to now hate Jen Majura since she was fired from Evanescence. She made a mistake, she was fired-

There probably is a bit of underlying jealousy mixed with regret and the constant "the band's better without you" + threats has likely done a number on her self esteem which has probably made her more -
@smurfsonfire Plus, 'influencers' and musicians have a big crossover. I know of a few bedroom musicians who started on Insta and got picked up by bands/labels etc.
@smurfsonfire Like any social media, it's technically open to whoever you give access to it. That could be friends, enemies or even prospective employers or colleagues. Because the music industry is so decentralised, social media presence is helpful.
