Have always said sometimes the most persuasive witness is sometimes someone who has arrived at the conclusion on their own. Listen to what Sean Tembo says here 👇
Zambia’s president will lose the 2026 election, unless he rigs it on an industrial scale. In this in-depth interview, I explain why Hichilema is staring defeat only five years after his election. (Except idiots, please comment after listening, to promote content-based discussion)
I am sorry for the delayed publication of the opinion piece but it should be out before long, hopefully tomorrow. I have been waiting for one newspaper to publish a pro-government news story that I would like to refer to in my analysis to show the politics behind this issue.
The story to be published is likely to allege that (i) the ZRA employee who is said to have bought the Hilux does not know the Archbishop (ii) the employee was not aware of the Hilux transaction (iii) the employee’s boss asked them for their NRC number but never explained why it was needed (iv) on the day the named employee is said to have driven the car past the gate of ZRA, the said employee was in Ndola! And a few other claims that obscure the fact that the said employee remains in the employment of ZRA.
Once this news story is published (hopefully tomorrow), I will complete my analysis and publish it.
Zed Twitter ZEMA has called for comments on the EIA for a proposed copper open-pit mine in Chongwe, Kasisi area by Sino Xinyuan Mining. The site is just 2km from the Chongwe River and 20km from KK Airport. If you can, submit your comments!
I want to repeat this to all Africans. As long as you continue voting for personalities and not for ideas rooted in a clear value system, you will remain stuck in the dark. You will remain backward. You will remain mere spectators of technology and development in other parts of the world, while your continent remains stagnant and a global laughing stock.
The choice is yours. We say these things not because you are unaware, but because it is important that they are recorded, so that future generations who will one day ask, “What kind of people were these who kept voting for personalities and not for ideas?” will know that there were some voices within those generations who cautioned against the danger of such behaviour.
This problem is not unique to Zimbabwe or South Africa. It is happening across the continent, where people boldly declare that they will die for an individual rather than live and work for ideas that can transform their societies. Such people deserve every ounce of suffering that follows, because their misplaced loyalty condemns not just themselves but also their children to the same cycle of poverty, corruption, and stagnation.
A personality cult will never build schools, hospitals, roads, or create jobs. Only ideas and values that are translated into sound policies and accountable governance can achieve that. The sooner Africans understand this, the sooner they can liberate themselves from being perpetual victims of their own choices.
The choice is yours to make, if you want to remain backward, keep voting for personalities instead of ideas, if you want your children to remain a laughing stock globally, keep voting and following personality cults instead of ideas that will get you out of your current mess! The choice is yours to make.
President Hakainde Hichilema is tribal, corrupt, undemocratic, vindictive, lawless, misogynist, a liar, hypocrite, and just a bad human being. If you thought Zambia had hit rock bottom under Edgar Lungu, buckle up. It’s going to get far, far worse.

To a large extent, what’s happening with PF officials and ministers is actually an indictment on the judicial system of the country. Take Davies Chama’s case, for example. He shot someone, continued being minister and living his life? Why? How? What was everyone waiting for?
Israel deeply regrets the tragic mishap that occurred today at the Nasser Hospital in Gaza.
Israel values the work of journalists, medical staff, and all civilians. The military authorities are conducting a thorough investigation.
Our war is with Hamas terrorists. Our just goals are defeating Hamas and bringing our hostages home.
They took everything away from Edgar Lungu when he was alive. Now they want to take his body from the family. The frenzy to get at the corpse, to pursue him even into the grave, is particularly disturbing. They are cruel, these people.
The President telling mayors that they should support the constitution amendment because some their two terms are coming to an end and they will “be removed even though you’re a good mayor” is such a reckless thing to say. If your terms are up, you MUST be removed. You don’t change the constitution to suit yourself, because YOU believe you’re a good leader.
