A couple sound bites that stood out to me from @jgohlke34 after Oakland beat Kentucky last night…
1. He puts his phone away 2 hours before the game and doesn’t check it for a while after the game either. This should be a non-negotiable for ALL athletes and something they all should implement into their pre-game and post-game routines. Nothing leads to more mental fatigue, and zaps energy and being in the moment as much as the phone.
2. True belief in yourself and your team is a POWERFUL thing. When you know deep down that you don’t just belong on the same court/field as others, but that you are the best player on it, magic happens.
Saint Louis' Yuri Collins set a school record tonight with 20 assists against Tennessee State. Billikens are now 6-2 overall. Best team in the Atlantic 10.
The President of GM,Mark Reuss pledging $5 dollars for every retweet to the America Cancer Society Please retweet. This is a no-brainer. In the last 6 months I’ve had the wives of two important people in my life have breast cancer surgery. This disease has to be cured.#wedrivefor
@ScottFightsALS@katyheaton@CoachBillSelf@tgoff11 This was a hard one for me, Scott. I’m happy for you, but come on! Will KU just have a down year at some point?! You know how annoying it is that they are good every damn year!! Haha. But seriously congrats and enjoy the victory. If they aren’t inspired by you, forget about it!
@MattJHarris85 It’s the same for when the commentators rave on the cameramen during an out of bounds review. They didn’t change position bc they thought there might be a review. It’s just the angle they were at. I’m sure they are all doing a great job.
@Daniel_Rapaport@Daniel_Rapaport when the conditions are this wet, and you see the greens getting plugged left and right, do they have grounds crew helping in between golfers to repair/fix divots? Or is it solely on the players / caddies?
