Russell Westbrook’s time with the Wizards was brief but unforgettable. He set the triple-doubles record and his second half that year was as high a peak as any player I’ve seen don the uniform. Just insane numbers. 26.3 ppg, 16.1 apg and 13.8 rpg in May to will the Wizards to the playoffs. Only player in franchise history to have a 25+ pts and 20+ ast game and he did it twice in six weeks. Hard to know how all this works out for Giants going forward - depends on what they do with the picks, FA, coaching etc.

But a big lesson here has to be you can’t keep employing a GM who is so toxic to players that his mere presence hurts your entire operation.
