It has been a great week all around, and a particularly rewarding one for me as a Ghanaian professional.
Having worked for many years in the international space, across the public and private sectors, and now serving in the political sphere, I have had the privilege of serving under different leaders and in various capacities. To serve President John Dramani Mahama at this time has been a remarkable experience.
Throughout its nearly 70-year history, Ghana has remained at the forefront of global affairs. Since the days of our founding President, Kwame Nkrumah, our nation has championed international cooperation and upheld its commitments under numerous international conventions and agreements.
Ghana’s policy of neutrality has, over the years, served as a model for diplomacy, international cooperation and strategic partnership. In international relations, as in life, it is always best to live in harmony with one’s neighbours, and Ghana has consistently done just that.
Today, under the leadership of President Mahama, Ghana has been deliberate and strategic in its foreign policy engagements. President Mahama has strengthened Ghana’s standing on the global stage, and our longstanding policy of neutrality has become increasingly relevant in a world where the old order no longer appears to work.
During this historic visit to the United Kingdom, President Mahama reaffirmed Ghana’s commitment to its enduring relationship with the UK and deepened the longstanding trade and diplomatic ties between our two countries.
All in all, the visit struck the right notes. It reinforces President Mahama’s message that Ghana is open for business. The message remains clear: Ghana is on a purposeful path towards #ResettingGhana, and the world appears ready to engage with us.
A week ago I was honored to participate in the commemoration of Purple Month with Her Excellency the Swiss Ambassador to Ghana, Simone Giger, esteemed members of the diplomatic corps, and partners of the EVE International Foundation.
The celebration of Her Royal Highness Lady Julia Osei Tutu's outstanding service and steadfast commitment to women, children, persons with disabilities, and mental health advocacy was truly inspiring.
The evening enabled meaningful exchanges, strong collaborations, and a shared resolve to create a more inclusive and compassionate society.
To all those who have developed a “phobia” for associating with, and even taking shots with certain individuals, know that there are always new territories to explore when you have something unique to offer especially to those who rise above petty foibles and focus on the most important and impactful things.
Build Social capital, build credibility- life is always about tact, diplomacy and influence, harness all three elements beautifully. Learn to walk in humility and live in harmony.

Senior Counsel @joyce_bawah Donates to the Upper West Regional Communication Bureau.
The Upper West Regional Communication Bureau wishes to publicly express our profound gratitude to Hon. Joyce Bawah Mogtari for her generous donation of 15 brand-new Dell desktop computers and GHS 20,000 towards our Regional Communication Retreat this month.
This kind gesture comes at a critical time, as it will significantly boosts our operational efficiency and enhances the success of our retreat.
What makes Hon. Joyce's support even more remarkable is that this is not the first time she has come to our aid. Over the years, whenever the team has called on her—whether in times of need or for strategic support—she has never hesitated to step in and help. Her unwavering commitment to our work and her consistent generosity are truly unmatched.
We are deeply inspired by her loyalty, leadership, and belief in our vision. Hon. Joyce has once again proven that she is not just a leader, but a reliable mother and pillar for the team.
On behalf of the entire Bureau, we say: Thank you, Hon. Joyce Bawah Mogtari. We are forever grateful.

“I have never, ever regretted being changed as Minority Leader~ Hon Haruna Iddrisu
Let them know that there was no way president MAHAMA would form a government without Hon Haruna and Hon Muntaka.
