What the heck Claude? Anthropic email says Free users of Claude in UK (& EU) are now FORCED to accept that Claude WILL use their chats & personal data to improve itself & for business/marketing? There's no way to opt out of this. How is this OK in 2025? What's going on?

Someone on Reddit built a real operating system using Claude. Not a browser app pretending to be one. An actual OS that runs on bare metal.

It's called Fable-OS. The only interface is a sentence. No bash. No commands. You type what you want and an AI agent executes it through direct kernel syscalls. Everything runs in Ring 0.

In the demo, the agent realized it didn't have a sound driver. So it found the Intel sound card, built a driver for it from scratch, and played a sound. On its own.

The OS writes its own drivers. Evolves itself. The agent's tools are the kernel itself.

Open source. Built because the developer got tired of people calling browser apps "AI operating systems."

This one actually is.

The Chinese University of Hong Kong built a robot that is essentially Venom in a petri dish.

It's a magnetic slime. Polyvinyl alcohol, borax, and neodymium particles. No motors, no battery. You rotate a magnet outside it and the blob follows.

What it can do:

→ Squeeze through gaps as narrow as 1.5 mm
→ Change shape to wrap around an object and carry it
→ Heal itself after being cut in half, then stretch to 8.6x its length
→ Conduct electricity well enough to reconnect a broken circuit

The purpose is medical. Pulling swallowed objects like button batteries out of a child without cutting anyone open. Prof. Li Zhang's team is now aiming it at minimally invasive gallstone surgery.

It's still a prototype. Neodymium is toxic, so the particles are coated, and biocompatibility is the entire ballgame before this goes anywhere near a person.

If it grows teeth, I'm out.

Transcribes every word. And checks every claim against real sources in real time. Before the speaker even finishes the sentence.

Until now, fact-checking happened hours or days later. By then the clip has been shared, the headline has been written, and the damage is done. Nobody reads the correction.

InTruth closes that gap to seconds. The claim and the fact-check exist in the same moment.
