I have been waiting for a NVMe addon that fits the  official #raspberrypi 5 case. Then @pimoroni brought out a longer pcie cable. So i went for the NVMe base. But the cable is too short. So I modded the case instead. Now it fits. It just need some longer screws to fit inside.

Comparing #raspberrypi 5 to a PC generating some Fractal Graphics (basically images from complex maths)
1113 Frames:
Rpi5: 28 hours (cpu)
PC AMD Ryzen7 8 cores: 10hr 36 mins. (cpu)
I think that makes the #Pi5 quite respectable in comparison.

PC: GPU #RTX3060: 18 mins

If you have plans to use #PiOS Bullseye on the #raspberrypi #rpi5 you will be greeted with this message. If os_check=0 is added to the config.txt as suggested in the message it still won't boot.
You will need to move any existing projects to Bookworm to use them on the RPi5.

I have just been trying out #TigerVNC on the #RaspberryPi5 Had an issue with the viewer on Windows 11 of invalid Pixel format. To fix this go into the viewers options and change Compression Encoding to Hextile. Worked fine after that. Guide at https://t.co/xNCp4DZlbB

#Raspberrypi OS Bookworm had been released. Amongst other background changes, they have moved to NetworkManager from Dhcpcd. That means my Autohotspot script that had been in use since 2015 will no longer work 😞 I've nearly finished the replacment script 😀
