@islandVivi I disagree, there are doctors/nurses/midwives to help through labour. The father who is the only person more emotionally invested than the mother and should be there to provide that support if he so chooses, and witness the miracle of the birth of his child.

@islandVivi The ultimatum is stupid, but as a father who is clearly involved in the process, he is the best person to be there, NOT the sister. What is unclear is whether he actually expressed how he felt about this to his wife (he says he asked questions, but that's not the same thing)
