I finished eating at McDonald’s and left my table covered in bags, boxes, sauce cups, drinks, and wrappers. I didn’t touch any of it because I always figured the employees get paid to clean the dining area. I’m not clocking in to bus tables after buying my food.
Right as I stood up to leave, some random guy walked over and got in my face telling me I was “disrespectful” and needed to clean it up. I told him if he cares that much about the table then he’s more than welcome to throw everything away himself because he clearly has the time.
He kept lecturing me like he owned the place, so I just walked out and left the whole mess exactly how it was. If the employees are hired to clean the lobby, then they can clean it. I still don’t know why some stranger thought it was his job to confront me about it.
