One thing Cohort 1 reminded me of is how intimidating Data Analytics can look when you are just starting.

You hear people talking about SQL queries, dashboards, DAX, databases, Power BI...

And you are there thinking:

“I don’t even know where to start.” 😅

Some of the learners in Cohort 1 started from that point too.

We didn’t assume everybody already understood Data Analytics.

We started from the foundation.

Then gradually moved into Excel.

They practised.

They worked on assignments and projects.

And when we eventually moved into SQL, some people were writing SQL queries for the first time.

That is why I keep saying this:

You do not need to learn Excel, SQL or Power BI before joining the Data Analytics Accelerator.

That is what the programme is supposed to help you learn.

What you need is the willingness to start, practise consistently, ask questions when you are confused, and actually do the work.

So if you have been looking at Cohort 2 and thinking:

"Maybe everybody joining already knows more than me..."

Please don’t disqualify yourself because you are a beginner.

Cohort 2 starts October 30, and we will begin from the foundation.

Over the 13 weeks, we will gradually work through Excel, SQL, Power BI, AI for Data Analysts, practical projects and portfolio preparation.

It is beginner-friendly.

But it is also practical, so come prepared to learn and practise. 😊

One of my students created this as her FIRST personal Excel project, without my guidance, and I couldn't be prouder! 🥹

What impressed me most wasn't just the dashboard design, but her analysis.

She went beyond sales to analyse profitability, profit margins, loss-making product subcategories, and business performance.

High sales don't always mean high profits, and she understood that!
My own first dashboard was nowhere near this. 😂

Seeing my students independently apply what they've learned to answer real business questions is one of the most fulfilling parts of teaching Data Analytics. ❤️
