How well are you integrating the expertise of your team? Cockpit Resource Management (CRM) emphasizes effective communication, situational awareness, and teamwork among wingmen to harness the collective expertise of the crew. #WarthogWisdom#WarthogWednesday
Pro Tip:
Choose your battles.
When you see a mistake your colleague makes, or something you don’t like, you have to make a choice if it is worth pointing out. And if so, then when.
Choose wisely, as if you were to point everything out, the CRM will go down the drain.
Excited to speak at #BASS2025 in Charlotte this May! I'll be sharing insights on how peer feedback can enhance CRM & safety culture in bizav. Looking forward to great discussions with fellow aviation pros! ✈️ #AviationSafety#CRM#BizAv
🧵#Thread 1/12 #OTD in 2014: Indonesia AirAsia Flight 8501, an A320, crashes in Karimata Strait (Indonesia), all 162 aboard die. Jet went out of control while troubleshooting a rudder issue. Enquiry found crew actions dealing with problem broke SOP; poor CRM, maintenance were also factors.

Yet another accident where CRM broke down. The crew was probably convinced that their CRM was top-notch - when in fact it wasn't.

If you don't know what RateMyCRM is, here's a nice article
@RateMyCRM is a fascinating tool, designed to help pilot leaders learn more about how they relate with crewmembers. Ideal for first officers upgrading to captain, but any crewmember could benefit from accurate and honest feedback. https://t.co/BuYlbDIp3R
I got to know many of you through Twitter & I wouldn't want to miss that experience for a minute, but things have taken a turn towards the worse here. I have joined the blue competition (as CptSchmerzfrei) and would be delighted to see you there. Thank you all for a great time-
Dear all, it's decided. I will stop using this account as a personal account and turn it into what it was intended to be when I joined more than ten years ago: The account of my project RateMyCRM. It's been great and I have enjoyed it much more than I thought I would.
@Singlengine1 That would have been my next question. I started on the assumption that maybe the attacks only started after they had arrived in the area.
@nettermike@RayLRiv Fun fact: there's a window in the lavatory of the biz jet that I fly. I often find that window's sun blind closed after the flight.
Who do they think is watching?
@rwyrachel One of the many reasons why this mass hysteria is so crazy is that people seem to believe that these "drones"/UFOs have a sinister purpose, but they still display nav lights and beacons as per international aviation conventions. Evil but law abiding at the same time!
