Really tired of people telling me that I don't have a nation unless I subscribe to their ideals.
I am American. I would be American without the U.S. government or Constitution. I am American because my ancestors have been Americans for hundreds of years.

I first met Charlie Kirk more than ten years ago. At that time, he was very young, and possessed an evangelical naivety that was relatively foreign to a Canadian.
He was truly and somewhat amusingly shocked, for example, at the pervasive smell of marijuana on the streets of Toronto.
It was obvious, however—despite that sheltered mien—that Charlie was someone deeply and singularly committed to a unique mission, and that he would be driven to learn everything necessary to its success.
I met him in person another dozen times after that, and was asked to speak at a number of Turning Point events.
I enjoyed the events. It was a very good thing to see thousands of enthusiastic young people trying to make things better in their somehow endearing conservative American way.
It was also fascinating to watch Charlie develop in sophistication over the years. The bravery he showed in presenting a truly conservative viewpoint on university campuses was part of that development, as was the ferocious skill he developed at debating contentious issues, under trying conditions, for years.
My wife, Tammy, and I met his lovely wife Erika with him on several private dinners. They made a truly admirable and mutually respectful couple. We had plans to make such meetings a regular occurrence—but life, and death, got in the way.
I was not informed about Charlie's murder for several months after it occurred, in consequence of my recent illness. It came as a terrible shock.
It is also truly awful to see what a spectacle has been made of his demise by pathological actors across the political spectrum.
He was a solid, decent, hard-working, truthful, brave person.
We are all—right and left alike—lesser without him.
On the right: because he was an example and a leader.
On the left: because he would willingly talk across the aisle, and in good faith.
There will come a day—and too soon, I am afraid—when even those who vilify his memory will long for the days when people such as Charlie existed, and made such civilized talk a priority.
I had the privilege to sit down with Charlie and talk with him about his life and the world not so many months before that was no longer possible: https://t.co/1b3U5MxGB1
RIP Mr. Kirk. I write that in true sorrow.
Scott is the best. Strongly recommend. He was immensely helpful to my family after my youngest brother died 14 years ago. He persevered diligently for years after the event to compel the insurance company to do what they were supposed to do and helped us tremendously.
He is also a good man himself, a Godly man of integrity with a lovely family. When you are in need of an advocate for a personal injury or wrongful death situation, there is is no one who will take care of you better and help you through such a difficult ordeal than Scott Maucere at https://t.co/UTsMKWV3Ye.
100% correct. When I was at the Del Rio, TX Haitian bridge camp in 2021, many of the Haitians told me they had been living in Chile & Brazil for years before coming to the US illegally for economic (not safety) reasons. The Haitians were dumping & tearing up their Chilean documents at the river’s edge hide this fact from the US so it wouldn’t hurt their fraudulent asylum claims.
The idea that all these Haitians came directly from Haiti after an earthquake or assassination is false. Many of them were living happily and safely for years in South America until Biden’s open border policies became too attractive to pass up. Others also flew into the US via Biden’s CHNV mass parole program which was supposed to be for only 2 year humanitarian parole grants. Of course, most never left.

Black history didn’t start with the Democrats.
And that’s exactly why they don’t teach this part.
Hiram Rhodes Revels was the first Black U.S. Senator in American history.
Republicans made it happen.
He was a Black Republican who took the Senate seat that belonged to Jefferson Davis, the President of the Confederacy.
Now ask yourself something:
Why isn’t his name in the school textbooks
Why isn’t he highlighted during Black History Month
Why do students grow up never hearing about him
Because his story breaks their narrative.
He didn’t come from the party of Jim Crow.
He didn’t support racial division for political power.
He wasn’t a “Democratic hero.
This is the history they don’t teach but I will make it my duty to tell the forgotten truth
