As (like me) you all experience your own version of hibernation our Parks have been an oasis for many.
Congratulations to my lovely humans for keeping them that way (and to some of the alternative ways in which that was achieved)!
David Lea: a true legend. An architect of vision, an environmentalist of values and one of the guiding lights of the Roath Brook campaign.
The world will miss you.
Dear Manx Planners,
I give you two months to change your mind. I’m not as young as I used to be and if I miss another hibernation challenging stupid decisions you’re going to have a very ratty Ratty on your hands!
Internationally important tree landmark to be felled. Planning consent has been granted for the felling of one of Europe’s last elm tree tunnels at St Marks. Despite being a registered woodland with trees over 100 years old. 🌳☹️

We may not be allowed to rehearse together at present but that doesn’t stop Burry Port Band from playing. Here’s our version of YMCA for you all to enjoy, recorded whilst socially distancing of course! https://t.co/Sr5MHFRqw7
I can’t sleep. So excited about #roathbrooktrees.
I hear they’ve some money left over for some form of commemorative gesture.
Just thought I’d mention that last time I posed I’m not sure they caught my best side
Superb result for @RoathBrookTrees campaign - one of the most impressive and effective local campaigns I’ve ever seen - proud to have supported in a small way 👏👊

Last Sunday was a special but sad day. From 5am-5pm I was up in a beautiful 150-year-old tree in Cardiff, trying to help many others save it from the developers’ chainsaws. Ultimately though, we failed.

I truly love you, you wonderful people of #RoathBrookTrees
As one of the more endangered members of our lovely locality I will now proceed to self-isolate and hibernate in peace. See you in the summer!

Cardiff is facing a canopy crisis. Some sources claim that the city has lost the equivalent of 30 rugby pitches of trees over the last 5 years. #Cardiff needs trees! @CanopiCardiff @CardiffCivicSoc please help here > https://t.co/W2YFPo7mRd

Fans of nature!
I have a bet with my colleague who thinks that this story will bomb.
I want to prove that people do care about stories involving the natural world.
Please read & please share.
If it gets 15,000+ views I get to both look smug & write more.

@RattyVole@MackTrees Thank you, we need all the help we can get! We have a walk organised on Sun Sept 15th at 2pm, meeting on site in Dinas Powys at bottom of Mill Road and Pen-y-Turnpike Road for people to see what will happen if this goes ahead. Hope you can make it.
A year ago these lovely humans were raising money and helped save my beautiful parks this year they’re having a 🏃♂️🏃♀️ and a few 🍷 to raise money for 3 other great causes!
Looks like Badger and I have got some reading to do.... (no point expecting Toad to read anything)
A step in the right direction hopefully?
@RoathBrookTrees
#DYK almost a quarter of a million properties in Wales are at risk of #flooding?
I have today published a consultation on a new National Strategy for Flood and Coastal Erosion Risk Management in Wales.
Have your say before 1⃣6⃣ September.🗓️
