Damn...Lots of good times and memories with buds. While this needed to happen, I also hope its not the end. Such a great universe and one I hold very dear for being a large part of my life. We'll see where this road ends up.

For almost twelve years, we have had the joy and honor to explore the Destiny universe with you all. Through all the ups and downs, surprises and triumphs, building Destiny alongside our players has been a monumental privilege. While our love for Destiny 2 has not changed, it has become clear that after The Final Shape, we have reached the time for our shared worlds, and Destiny, to live beyond Destiny 2.
As our focus turns towards a new beginning for Bungie, we will begin work incubating our next games. To that end, on June 9, 2026, we will release the final live-service content update for Destiny 2 to begin that new journey as a studio.
Though active development may be concluding, we will ensure that Destiny 2 remains playable, just as the original Destiny is today. Many changes in this final update will aim to ensure that Destiny 2 is a welcoming place for players to return to.
We’re proud of Destiny 2, the places it took us, and the legacy it has created. Because of you all, our universe is vast, built on years of shared stories, adventures, and victories. From the Cosmodrome to the Pale Heart to the Lawless Frontier, we have forged life-long memories and friendships with you all.
We are incredibly grateful to everyone who made that journey with us.

🔹Increased the number of Med Cabinets and Munitions Crates that can spawn on Perimeter

ROOK
🔹Fixed an issue where backpacks could be deleted when exfiling with Rook

🔹Increased CyAc reputation gain from exfilling with Rook
🔹Rook will now have the same Faction reputation bonus for exfilling that solo players receive
🔹Rook’s WSTR shotgun will now spawn as Compromised (Compromised items require use of a Matter Fixative during the run to exfil with the item)
UESC
🔹Reduced health of most UESC enemies and shield hp of UESC bosses by a small amount
💡DEVELOPER NOTE: With this change we hope to alleviate some of the resource burden in both Solos and Crews when it comes to engaging UESC in combat. The goal here is to allow your bullets and meds to go further without reducing too much of the UESCs bite. We see the feedback loud and clear that players appreciate the friction that our UESC combatants provide and we have no plans to change that direction.
CONTRACTS
🔹Increased default distance objective nav points appear from 10m to 20m
🔹Introducing NuCaloric Contract: Fixed an issue where enemy Crews could receive NuCal contract VO audio and subtitles from a long distance away

OUTPOST
🔹Temporarily disabled switches access route to the Broken Wing on Outpost
💡DEVELOPER NOTE: We are temporarily disabling the "Broken Wing" entrance into the Pinwheel while we make some tuning changes to it. In its current state it trivializes entrance into the Pinwheel. We are making some tweaks to maintain the spirit of the "silent" entrance while better matching the risk / reward of the Pinwheel. Runners can continue to take advantage of all other ways into the Pinwheel (including the additional silent method) in the meantime.

💡DEVELOPER NOTE: Some issues may still remain with third-party IME software and we are continuing to investigate. Windows built-in IME may be a temporary workaround for users who are experiencing issues while we work on a permanent fix.

🔹Seasonal gameplay content is free for all players to access or earn, including zones and Runner shells
🔹There is no pay for power
🔹Rewards Passes do not expire
🔹You can buy previous seasons' Rewards Passes if you wish
🔹You unlock rewards in your Rewards Passes using SILK, which is earned by playing the game. SILK cannot be purchased.
🔹Premium Pass Rewards only include cosmetics, not gameplay items
🔹Cosmetics are also earnable through the Codex, with others available for purchase
🔹The premium currency LUX can only be used for cosmetics – not gameplay advantages
Our next Major Update, Destiny 2: Shadow and Order, is undergoing large revisions and will be delayed.
This update is being changed and expanded to include sizable quality-of-life updates and as a result, will also be renamed. This update will now launch on June 9, 2026. We will provide exact details closer to release covering previously announced Weapon Tier Upgrading, but also additions like expanding Tiered Gear to all Raid and Dungeon activities, Pantheon 2.0, Tier 5 stats for Exotic Armors, and more.
Through June, we will continue to have routine bug fixes and stability improvements, continued portal modifiers, Guardian Games (March), and the return of a more frequent Iron Banner cadence (April).
In terms of communications, we will be focusing on providing you with updates about our live game content, community activations, and general upkeep through the TWID and our Destiny social channels.

Its ok. It has bones to grow but only if it can get legs to grow. The mode itself is interesting. Feel like it should be 5v5. Another mode like 3v3v3v3 would definitely create more excitement with fights and map dynamics with the whole attack/defend basis. Map and matches just feel very quiet with 3v3. Also get rid of the Fortnite mechanic, it feels very out of place and unnecessary. Game just needs a bit more chaos and higher level of strategy.
Edge of Fate campaign thoughts.
Started off slow and kinda chore work. Was letting me down
Picked up in the mid point with some good missions and story beats.
Ending mission and story bombshell to set the stage for this saga. HFS! THIS SHIT IS NEXT LEVEL.
Story is getting into some deep science-fiction and godly universe shit. Cant wait for this to unfold!
Edge of Fate campaign started slow, had me worried, but man did it ramp up. This story has the foundation to easily top the Light/Dark saga. Ending mission I have no words. This is some deep next level shit. Can't wait to see where this goes!
