Huwag nang hintayin ang panahong imaginary o AI na lang din ang pagkain natin dahil namatay na ang agrikultura ng ating bansa.

A new study suggests that massive AI-powered data centers can create their own localized heat islands, increasing nearby land surface temperatures by an average of around 2Β°C, with some hotspots reaching up to 9Β°C hotter than surrounding areas.
The warming isn't limited to the facilities themselves, it can spread for kilometers, potentially affecting nearby communities and ecosystems. Researchers attribute the heat to continuously running servers and the energy-intensive cooling systems needed to keep them from overheating.
The study also indicates that this phenomenon is becoming widespread, with rapidly growing data center hubs across Asia, Europe, and the Americas potentially exposing hundreds of millions of people to increased local warming. Scientists say the environmental impact of data centers extends beyond carbon emissions, emphasizing that their contribution to localized heating remains largely overlooked in climate planning. #HeatIsland #DataCenter #Weather
kindly watch this video of a homeowner filming from his porch/just outside a data center and tell me if hindi nakakaperwisyo. sonically pa lang, it will disrupt not just people pero maski animals that live nearby. imagine an ai hub the size of makati buzzing nonstopβinhumane.
hindi lahat makikinabang sa idea na gawing ai hub ang pilipinas lalong lalo na hindi ang mga mamamayang pilipino and thatβs something we need to talk about.
like, what do you mean people are saying that once that happens, weβll suddenly have more job opportunities? ai literally replaces real peopleβs jobs. just look at it now eh ai vids, ai art, ai music, fake news, edited photos and people are already misusing it. if ngayon pa lang hirap na gamitin nang maayos, what makes you think itβs going to turn out good?
philippines is already dealing with unstable resources jusko may scheduled power outages dahil kulang ang supply, mataas ang electricity bills, at maraming areas ang may limited or even no water access. if ngayon pa lang hirap na, what more if dagdagan pa natin ng demand?
kaya letβs be honest. hindi equal ang benefits. itβs ALWAYS BIG COMPANIES that GAIN THE MOST, while vulnerable communities deal with the impact.
kasi hindi lang dapat βmay kita ngayon,β dapat sustainable din long-term, at hindi kapalit ang basic needs ng mga pilipino.
at the end of the day, yang mga negosyante na yan sila lang ang makikinabang at yayaman, habang yung ordinaryong tao ang laging magsu-suffer. walang bago diyan. they will always see these things as a business.
kasi for them, itβs always about PROFIT over PEOPLE. kahit sino pa ang maapektuhan workers, small communities, environment. secondary lang βyon basta may kita. habang sila nagkakamal ng pera, yung mga nasa baba ang sumasalo ng consequences.
so before we hype it up, letβs ask
progress for who? and at whose expense?
LUBOG NA LUBOG NA TAYO FOR THE LOVE OF GOD!! MAAWA NAMAN KAYO SA PILIPINAS.

Alam niyo sabi ng tatay ko who works in the IT sector regarding PAX SILICA?
"Alam mo ba bilang na tao lang makakapag trabaho diyan? Mga maintenance at security lang. Yung initial lang yung marami for construction. Hindi naman factory ang Data Center."
