The Rivers & People volunteering group, who are in Lewisham's rivers each week have had a good summer of spotting European Eels.
We've seen many in both the Quaggy and the Ravensbourne which is a wonderful sight!

@Thames21's Improving Rivers Team enjoyed their day out on Monday in the Ravensbourne Catchment learning about the successful river and pond restoration works at #GlassmillPond and the ongoing constructed wetlands project at #ChinbrookMeadows (pictured below)!
Great meeting about how to restore water voles to our local rivers and habitats in London.
Thanks to Sam Facey of ZSL’s Water Vole (WV) Recovery Project for presenting to us.
Looks like we might start looking out for mink (water vole predators) and good habitats for WVs.
