I sat down with delivery riders of Zomato, Swiggy, Blinkit etc. This is not a rant. This is a conversation with those whose lives power our everyday comfort.

It’s tragic that millions of delivery riders who helped build instant-commerce companies into what they are today, are now forced to protest just to be heard.

These platforms didn’t succeed because of algorithms alone. They succeeded because of human sweat and labour.

It’s time companies start treating riders as human beings, not disposable data points.

The gig economy cannot become a guilt-free exploitation economy.

पिछले साल ट्रक ड्राइवर पर जब एक कानून आया था सोशल मीडिया पर कई लोगों ने इस कानून का विरोध किया था.... ड्राइवरों को बेचारा....गरीब करार दिया गया।

तब से अब तक अपने अपने शहर में ट्रक ड्राइवरों द्वारा हुए हादसे पर जरा नजर दौड़ाए...

आज जयपुर में एक ट्रक ड्राइवर ने नशे में ट्रक दौड़ा कर 14 लोगों की जान ले ली...
150 की स्पीड से ट्रक को इस तरह दौड़ाया की रस्ते में जो आया उसे उड़ा दिया...300 मीटर के दायरे में सब जगह क्षत विक्षत शव पड़े थे...किसी का हाथ कहीं पड़ा, किसी का पैर कही...किसी के मांस लोथड़े किसी की गाड़ी पर...कितने तो बुरी तरह से घायल है।

कुछ समय पहले इंदौर के बाजार में भी यही हादसा हुआ था....बहुतों की जान गई थी।
क्या अब भी लोगों को लगता हैं कि ट्रक ड्राइवर पर कानून नहीं बनना चाहिए.??😭
