What can one man do for a city in a lifetime of work?
A lot!
@ravichandar joins me in episode 438 of The Seen and the Unseen to discuss his life, his times and what he has learnt as a civic evangelist for Bangalore: https://t.co/qSjf5PwIkv
Good fun, great insights, listen! 🙂
Thank you Prashant and Khushboo for your helpfulness at Varanasi airport. It was a pleasure getting a feel of what customer support is all about. @AirIndiaX
Yes. Area development where road hierarchy / grid established, road density increased, natural contours respected, social infra provided will lead to significantly better quality of living and higher property values. Sans this areas beyond ORR will further degrade even with PRR.
The issues have been the same during successive governments. Allowing indiscriminate construction without the necessary road infrastructure is the real problem, and that has been going so for 20+ years. The repeated promise of Akrama-Sakrama may even have fueled it further. The current round of finger-pointing is happening because no one is sure what to do now, other than some superficial stuff.
The only workable way forward is through a proper town planning scheme for the area, implemented diligently over the next few years. @ravichandar

On #IWD there are scores of articles on the need for gender parity. Well, one team in #NammaBengaluru has achieved that in terms of performances - #RCB 😊 To celebrate the myriad hues of Women, @bicblr has events over 5 days - Mar 8-13 starting 6 pm - https://t.co/MDahdoIH5B
@murali772 The larger point I was trying to make was we need analysis of different options for traffic flows before deciding which is the best option needing a DFR. Always been a public transport fan and would like to see BMTC go for #assetlite models doubling the fleet
B-Heard at BIC @bicblr - Hyde Park format (no mike, platform et al). 20 minutes monologue followed by discussions. The idea is to foster conversations and build new relationships around shared interests. Am a perpetual optimist despite the self-chosen title! 😀
