GVMC Commissioner Shri Ketan Garg, IAS, Directs Timely Attendance and Efficient Deployment of Sanitation Workers
GVMC Commissioner Shri Ketan Garg, IAS, conducted a field inspection in Ward No. 41 (South Zone) and reviewed sanitation activities in the areas under Ward Secretariats 317 and 318. He instructed officials to ensure that sanitation workers report to duty on time and remain actively engaged in maintaining cleanliness across all localities.
During the inspection, the Commissioner reviewed the attendance of sanitation workers, deployment of CLAP vehicles, and the effectiveness of door-to-door waste collection. He directed officials to implement pinpoint-based deployment of sanitation staff so that no garbage remains unattended, ensure that main roads are cleaned before 7:30 AM, roadside drains are cleaned promptly, and waste is transported to dumping yards without delay.
He also instructed that CLAP vehicles must carry out public announcements on waste collection and Swachh Survekshan awareness, directed that every shop should maintain two dustbins, and warned that fines should be imposed on those who dump waste on roads.
