தமிழ்த்தாய் வாழ்த்துக்கு இழைக்கப்பட்ட அவமதிப்பு கண்டனத்திற்குரியது!

திருநெல்வேலியில் உள்ள மனோன்மணியம் சுந்தரனார் பல்கலைக்கழகத்தின் 33-வது பட்டமளிப்பு விழா இன்று (ஜூலை 28, 2026) நடைபெற்றது. இவ்விழாவில், தமிழ்நாட்டின் மாநிலப் பாடலான 'தமிழ்த்தாய் வாழ்த்து' முதன்மையாகப் பாடப்படாமல், மூன்றாவதாகப் பாடப்பட்டிருப்பது தமிழக மக்களுக்கும் தமிழ் மொழிக்கும் இழைக்கப்பட்ட மாபெரும் அவமதிப்பாகும்.

குறிப்பாக, தமிழ்த்தாய் வாழ்த்துப் பாடலான 'நீராரும் கடலுடுத்த' என்ற பாடலை எழுதிய பேராசிரியர் மனோன்மணியம் பெ. சுந்தரனார் அவர்களின் பெயர் கொண்ட பல்கலைக்கழகத்திலேயே, இப்பாடல் மூன்றாம் இடத்திற்குத் தள்ளப்பட்டிருப்பது கடும் கண்டனத்திற்குரியது. ஆளுநர் மாளிகையின் உத்தரவுப்படி வந்தே மாதரம் முதலாவதாகவும், தேசிய கீதம் இரண்டாவதாகவும், தமிழ்த்தாய் வாழ்த்து மூன்றாவதாகவும் பாடப்படும் என்ற துணைவேந்தரின் அறிவிப்பு மாநிலத்தின் சுயேச்சை உரிமையை மீறும் செயலாகும்.

மாநிலப் பாரம்பரியத்தையும் தமிழ் உணர்வையும் மதிக்காமல் ஆளுநர் மாளிகை தன் அதிகார போக்கைக் காட்டுவதை வன்மையாகக் கண்டிக்கிறேன். இத்தகைய நடவடிக்கைகளைத் தமிழக அரசு ஒருபோதும் வேடிக்கைப் பார்த்துக் கொண்டிருக்கக் கூடாது. தமிழ்த்தாய் வாழ்த்துக்குரிய முதல் மரியாதையை நிலைநாட்ட வேண்டும் என ஆளுநரை வலியுறுத்துகிறேன்.

ஜனநாயக நாட்டில் தங்கள் குறைகளை எடுத்துரைக்கும் மாணவர்களுக்காகக் குரல் கொடுக்கும் மக்கள் பிரதிநிதிகளை, பிரதமர் இல்லத்திற்குச் சென்று முறையிட முயன்றதற்காகவே காவல்துறையைக் கொண்டு அடக்குமுறை செய்வது வன்மையாகக் கண்டிக்கத்தக்கது. எதிர்க்கட்சிகளின் ஜனநாயகக் குரலை நசுக்கும் ஒன்றிய அரசின் இந்த சர்வாதிகாரப் போக்கு, இந்திய அரசியலமைப்புச் சட்டம் வழங்கியுள்ள அடிப்படை உரிமைகளையும், பேச்சு சுதந்திரத்தையும் அப்பட்டமாக மீறும் செயலாகும். மாணவர்களின் எதிர்காலத்தைப் பறிக்கும் நீட் முறைகேடுகள் குறித்து நாடாளுமன்றத்தில் விவாதிக்க அனுமதிக்க வேண்டும் என்றும் வலியுறுத்துகிறேன்.
