If you wish to pre-purchase the game, pre-orders open December 13, 2025.
If you don’t feel comfortable pre-ordering, please don’t. This is true early access, meaning it’s still very much unfinished and will be buggy for a while, but you have the team's commitment to make Hytale the game we’ve always wanted it to be.More details are coming soon. Thank you, everyone, for your support. Hytale has been through a long journey, and soon, we will be home.
I think it's essential to be careful here, not jump to conclusions, and not hyperfocus on dates because of the past. Yes, we are going fast, and things are happening every single day, but let's be realistic and stay calm before we lock down any release dates! A lot of it is still in the works. We've had the game on our computers for barely 10 days.
To give some context, we just received the final game files and documents yesterday, and we still need to finish the legal content for the release. You can't launch a game without a ToS/EULA and other related documents, so we are pouring hundreds of thousands of dollars into legal work to expedite this. Given that we want to let players modify our game, it requires some custom work to make sure we get it right. In parallel, we are still awaiting other legal transfers of assets, so we can't announce a release date just yet (no one's fault; it's just the nature of how these things work, and Thanksgiving means some services will be closed).
I know everyone is excited, but we have to set expectations: it's a lot of work on several fronts, and the leadership team is taking no days off to make sure we don't lose any time on our side. We are on the clock to earn the players' trust and show how quickly we can turn things around. The moment we can securely announce a solid release date, we will.
Keep in mind that the game has never undergone proper testing, so we are finding all sorts of crazy bugs, but none of that matters for release. We have been very clear publicly that we are shipping something unfinished and will continue to do so. With warnings on the website, in-game, and social media, we will be OK with negative criticism.
On top of the game itself, we had to build a new website backend, launcher, auth system, patching, and a lot more in the last few weeks. We've cleaned up a lot of the code and assets, merged hundreds of branches, and refactored the critical parts we wanted to get done on time. The good news is, on that front, we are feeling great about the release. It has been an incredible engineering challenge, to say the least!
We are almost home. I'll give you all a release date as soon as I can. By the end of this week, I'll make a final decision, and by Monday, we'll post the early access release date.
2. Models face south (positive Z)
3. Player and player attachment models are 64x, other models are 32x (pixels per block). It's best to leave the grid snapping and pixel density at default (16) and model at a larger scale, so that 1 pixel on the texture equals 1 unit on the model
Some tips if you want to make models for Hytale already before the tools release, to make it easier to convert later:
1. Use the Generic format. Models are build from groups, cubes, and quads (flat cubes with only one side). Don't use meshes (including cuboid or plane meshes).
@Simon_Hypixel People are so hyped about the return that they forget to manage their expectations for an early version riddled with bugs
While this example is obviously a bit exaggerated, I think it's best to start thinking about playing a version like this when Hytale is released
Hytale dev/prod subdomains have been “re-updated.”
I waited four days in case this was an automatic renewal, and the subdomains that were updated on the 18th of the month have been updated again today.
I believe this is a gradual restructuring. They are likely being redistributed under new ownership, possibly with a different cloud provider or new security settings.
It's possible that after a cluster/dev environment is moved, it is being checked to see if it is working stably.
After seeing https://t.co/yIeBCzcpjV's backend environment in recent weeks, the likelihood of this is even higher.

New updates for the Hytale website!
Four hours ago, the Riot ownership information on https://t.co/yIeBCzcpjV was hidden/removed.
This is usually done for transfer, renewal, or security purposes, but since Simon said in recent days that it was now in the “final” stage, the only explanation is “transfer.”
During the transfer process, the domain contacts section may sometimes appear empty or only contain registrar information.
The domain may be transferred to another account (but within the same registrar). Therefore, the site may become accessible at the same time or hour that the “RDAP change” date changes.
About lock statuses (Client Delete Prohibited, Client Transfer Prohibited, Client Update Prohibited);
If the domain is being transferred to a different account/organization within the same registrar, these statuses do not need to be removed. In other words, a transfer process can be carried out without removing them.
So yes, transfers are possible without removing these statuses, but only within MarkMonitor, meaning only for internal registrar account changes.
