@ScottJenningsKY Just a question, not taking sides. Do all these taxes have anything to do with the salary raises for Virginia government officials? Seriously asking for educational purposes, where are state government salaries derived from in Virginia?

It is an interesting conversation with questions about who controls the room rates? MGM or the private equity firms? Who can give room comps? Who can change the “local discount” rules? And of course a strategy game of real estate that I personally think MGM is smart with, but for sure with “stay at home” gambling, fewer trips to Vegas is required.

No sides, just looking for education… how/why? Would anyone put a tax on walking a dog? Or grooming it? What? How would that work? Again just looking for education and would love if one of the people in power in Virginia would explain, and go into their decision making process - since they gave themselves a raise, I think it’s logical to have them take the time to explain their side
