Last night at the dinner table I took stock; clearly, joy was lacking. The toddler was whining, the 6-year old was cranky, the older 2 were worn out, and all of it was visible on my sweet wife's face.
It occurred to me that these forlorn faces were a reflection of me. I was setting the tone. So, instead of clearing the table, I busted out the ukulele and began to sing.
Within literal seconds, the kids were laughing, smiling, and running around (I sang one of the sillier songs in my repertoire). That was the moment the entire vibe shifted and the evening took on a different tone. The little ones played, the older ones sang and did the dishes, and we ended the night with smiles.
Fathers, not only can you lead, you should. Leading your family *through* and *into* joy is one of the most powerful things you can do.
Just voted 4 times in NYC.
Four different locations and none of them asked me for ID. I even told one poll worker that I was "technically an illegal immigrant but, like, no violent crimes". She just smiled and gave me an I Voted sticker. 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
@OnTheRecordSC @ChrisJacksonSC I live near Louisville. UPS has tons of buildings surrounding the airport. They employ so many of my neighbors and friends. Thankfully the plane crashed in an industrial area instead of taking off northbound. Deaths would have been in the thousands. Tragic all around.
Today, our aviation family mourns the loss of UPS Flight 2976.
No matter the aircraft, no matter the flag it flies under, behind every callsign are people, dreams, dedication, and a shared love for the skies.
My deepest condolences go to the crew, their loved ones, the UPS family, and all colleagues and friends affected.
Aviation is built on passion, precision, and safety, but moments like this remind us of the human heartbeat at the center of it all.
This moment is also a tribute to courage and professionalism, to the men and women who take to the skies every day, knowing the responsibility they carry and serving with commitment, skill, and heart.
As we come together in grief, let us also come together in patience and respect.
This is not a time for speculation or assumptions.
It is a time for remembrance and for allowing investigators to do their work so that clear answers, truth, and learning may follow.
May the skies be gentle, and may those we lost rest in peace.🕊️✈️💙
@OnTheRecordSC @ChrisJacksonSC There was a landfill and wide field just beyond where the crash happened. I wonder whether they were trying to put her down there, and avoid hitting the supply chain warehouse directly at the end of the runway. Sigh.
We are following reports of a crash in Louisville possibly involving a UPS MD-11. Based on the timing and loss of data from the flight, we are working to confirm if the flight involved is #5X2976 operated by N259UP. Details are currently UNCONFIRMED. https://t.co/SWTMMxjTGs
❗️⚠️🇺🇲 - UPDATE: Kentucky Governor Andy Beshear has confirmed at least seven fatalities in the devastating crash of UPS Flight 2976, an MD-11 cargo plane bound for Honolulu that exploded shortly after takeoff from Louisville Muhammad Ali International Airport on Tuesday evening.
Harrowing security camera footage captured the fiery impact as the aircraft plummeted into a nearby field, engulfing the area in flames.
The airport remains shut down, with emergency responders still battling persistent fires amid concerns that the death toll could climb higher.
The National Transportation Safety Board has initiated a full investigation into the cause.
Looking at this MD-11 UPS crash , this is some of the most terrifying and sad footages i have seen for a crash especially for a heavy jet , correct me if I’m wrong i believe last time we saw a video recording of a plane crashing right after takeoff with substantial fire on engine or the wing it was the Concorde in Paris in 2000.
@nicksortor Engine exploded, fell off, started fire. Pilots did not have time to understand situation, went in. Normal procedure if engine fails after V1 speed is continue with takeoff, pilots didn't know plane was on fire until too late.
Praying for the souls lost in the UPS plane crash in Louisville. At first glance it looked like an engine fire or explosion while the plane was past V1 speed and thus committed to the takeoff. Not a lot that the pilots could have done. 🙏🙏🙏
Huge victory tonight—
For free speech
For the rule of law
For common sense, consensus protections for moms and babies
For getting the federal government OUT of the abortion business
Congratulations @realDonaldTrump and @JDVance!

Our Intelligence Community is rotten to the core. Serious investigations are required. We need to get to the bottom the censorship, J6, Covid origins, lawfare, weaponization of CIA, FBI, and DHS. We need a Church Committee 2.0. The people must regain control of our government.
Before calling it a night, I just wanted to quickly remind everyone that the liberal celebrities and politicians you'll see tomorrow saying it's time for all of us to come together as one nation and heal are the same people who called us all nazis and garbage a few days ago.
@thenickoftime90@CollinRugg You’re totally right. I remember the eighties and them all flipping out about Save The Whales. What happened? So I wrote some lyrics and made a song. Enjoy. https://t.co/NueW8KW2XB
