I remember when someone told me that they only do ETFs, and I told them that my portfolio returned more than most ETFs, and that was before Trump. Ever since the guy appeared, I have only sold off to buy more Google. Holding a stable position in times of high uncertainty is a wise decision.
Ansem @blknoiz06 is 100% correct. I don’t trade crypto, but the same rules apply across every asset class. Trading is a dangerously addictive activity.
In 2023, I advised on an oil & gas transaction and earned a decent fee from
It. Same deal took over 18 months to close before I got paid. I then deployed 90% of that fees that took me 18 months to earn into the financial markets and it returned 4x in under 9 months lmao.
The problem however with fast money is that it rewires your brain and makes every opportunity look urgent and that’s exactly how people lose everything just as quickly as they made it.
The real edge IMO is discipline to not constantly be in the market. Have a regular job or something that keeps you busy enough to sit on your hands and only pull the trigger when the setup is genuinely high probability.
So far this year, I’ve made only 3 trades.
2 wins (WTI, HIMS)
1 loss (Snap)
and I’m actually more than happy to close the year like this 😂
Episode 15 of Power and Plunder will come tomorrow, 25th June. Episode 16, which is the final episode for now, will come about a week later.
It’s been an incredible journey and I thank you all for sharing and interacting with this project. My team and I are grateful for your support. We hope it will continue to be helpful to anyone with the desire to learn a thing or two about Nigeria’s political history.
There are a few bonus episodes we’re working on that will shed light on some characters. We will release them as soon as they’re ready.
In the coming weeks, we will shift attention to other stories we have been working on from around the continent. But be rest assured that we are committed to telling our stories and this is just the beginning.
Thank you for your incredible support.
