@gunsnrosesgirl3 Antibiotics. But refrigeration would be near the top as well. There are so many extraordinarily important inventions that it would be hard to claim any single one as the 'most important'.
@MrBallen I think neither. It's the person about to be done in who, with plenty of time to save themselves when they see they're about to meet their maker, instead, stand or lie there, screaming, while the villain pauses dramatically before finally attacking. Think Midsomer Murders.
@WarlockWoods@Tjeerd001 I think THESE suck. They peel okay, but the wrist angle is wrong, and they're way slower. I own some, but only use them for things like butternut squash.
@Tjeerd001 Umm... You mean the standard peeler that's been around forever, and works better and faster than any of the newer types?
Nah. Never heard of it.
@MrBallen First one, definitely. I've already received a phone call from my own number. I didn't even bother answering. It's not hard to spot a spoofed number when it's your own!
@Logically_JC I have a devout 69 year old brother, ordained in a non-denominational Church.
Hard core Trumper. Doesn't believe in COVID. (Until yesterday I thought he just didn't believe in getting the vacs for COVID.)
Let's say we agree not to talk about what we can't agree on.
@lippyent Weights for old windows to hold them up when you raise the window. When the last of the two weights has its rope break when the window's up, you've got yourself a good ole version of a guillotine!
@MrBallen The Vanishing Regiment. Read about it as a kid, I have no idea of the validity of it, but I always thought it was really creepy and interesting.
@MrBallen Good for you!!!
Try to shut off that part of your brain that feels compelled to think about things unrelated to just being on vacation, and just try to live in the moment.
I hope you have a good, re-energizing rest.
